I have often used Rush Couriers over the past two years to obtain competitive quotes on courier services. They seems to have fallen off the planet - they happily processed the cost of my quote but then failed to appoint the courier company, do not answer their phones and do not respond to mails. DO NOT USE THEM YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE SERVICE AND WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK.
A massive shout out to Philip and his team at Rototank Polokwane. He went out of his way to expedite my order, kept me informed every step of the process and delivered on time. I can recommend this business wholeheartedly!
My son lives on a farm in a remote area. I read all the reviews online before I bought this product. Unfortunately our experience does not match any of the ones mentioned online. We tried three different SIM cards; tried to link to WIFI and then tried to see if it works in an urban area (Johannesburg). In all cases, the tracker picks up the nearest cell phone tower - that means 7 kms away from the farm, and 3 kms away from our house in Jhb. Needless to say, if you want to keep track of the dog, you would have to be prepared to search for an area of 7km radius. So in my view, it is a cell phone signal tracker at best. Coincidentally all our other GPS devices do work in both locations. You would be better off with an apple airtag which works far more efficiently at a much lower price tag. And by the way - this tracker does not count the steps either. When I tried to return it, I got thrown with the Consumer Protection Act and the fact that I bought the 'cheapest' product (i bought the one for R1899 and not the one in excess of R2000 - thank goodness I did not). I probably would have not minded had they just acknowledged the fact that the product is defective but that was never the case - only that I live on a hill and therefore that the device picks up the cell phone tower etc etc. At least Jenna now walks around with a fancy tag around her neck looking very dapper.
Thank you very much to Lee Wait for such professional service! Quick and efficient quotation process. I am super impressed!
I placed an order online on 3 December 2024 (#3191). The committed delivery time was 5 - 7 days. On 20 December 2024, I sent a mail to follow up and made countless phone calls which none were picked up. Nancy Kaphe-Booysen copied me in on my mail, which she forwarded to Keith Robinson. I followed up again on 8 January 2025. Today, 14 January 2025, 5 weeks later, still no answer on their phone lines, no response to my emails and no product delivered. DO NOT ORDER FROM BKB ONLINE
My husband and I were booked on FA229 from George to ORT on 3 March 2024 at 18:35. We received 3 sms's from Safair during the course of the evening that the flight would be delayed as the incoming plane was not able to land, due to inclement weather. At 22:30, we received an SMS that the flight will now depart at 08:30 on 4 March 2024. I went online to change this date/time as we had pre-arranged appointments for the morning of 4 March and could not make this time. I was unable to reschedule and 100% cancellation fee was charged. I paid R2800 for two new tickets (+R1000 for return airport transfers). I contacted Safair for a letter to confirm firstly the delay and secondly the cancellation without compensation as I had taken out a Chubb Insurance policy, offered by Safair when I made the booking. Safair, 3 days later, sent a letter only confirming the cancellation of the flight. I submitted the claim with all evidence to Chubb only to be informed that the insurance policy does not cover flight cancellations (read the small print! why else would you want to take out insurance?). I reverted to Safair to ask for a letter to confirm the delay of 14 hours as this would be covered by Chubb, with a view to at least get some money back. Guess what? Safair refuses to issue this letter. I have written to the call centre all week. Moral of the story? Do not ever think you will get money back from Chubb for a flight cancellation / delay as Safair refuses to issue such a letter despite them having sent 3 sms's confirming the delay and Chubb requires this letter. I will refer this matter to ASATA.
I placed an order online which was delivered to an outlying area within 48 hours - that was fantastic. However, the incorrect item, R1000 below the price which I paid, was delivered. Since then it has been the one unsatisfactory engagement after the other. ODW claims that the incorrect item needs to be collected first before the correct one can be dispatched. The driver who collected the item was unprofessional, rude and uncooperative. Wanted the collection note "as per the sheriff's request" - have you ever??? Another day later, I am told the new item will only be delivered in another two days - this will be longer than a week after the incorrect item was delivered in the first place. Do yourself a favour and do not order from ODW online. Rather take a drive to the closest outlet and buy it there.
Ordered online thinking 3 weeks would be ample time for delivery. After I paid (through payflex where you never get your money back), a message popped up to say delivery takes between 21 and 30 days. After several enquiries, they very unprofessionally responded that these are in fact working days; and now it is 37 working days - 7 weeks!!! Any event, I have still not received my order. Second FB **** in less than 2 months I must be a sucker for punishment. Do not order from this company.
On my previous review, I complained about the fact that rugs were advertised on the online catalogue, without specifically stating that they are not hand-woven but machine made. Happy to report that Sandton Auctioneers refunded me in full for my purchase. Give compliments where compliments are due.
Carla Erasmus markets among others, wooden picnic benches on social media. She is in business with Anton du Preez. They undertake the manufacturing and delivery of furniture in the Mooketsi / Tzaneen environment. Collect deposits and commit to a delivery date. Thereafter, it is excuse upon excuse, then the wood was not delivered, then the weather is too humid and wet and then they are sick. They have no business ethic and cannot be trusted. Anton du Preez sends foul messages via Whatsapp and refuses to own up to his accountability as a business owner.
