Absolutely shocking, disgusting service. Im writing on behalf of an old age pensioner who commissioned Lucky to get her an ID book in March 2021. She paid him R2500 and got nothing in return. He promised to refund the money by 19 December 2022, but this didnt happen either. Yvonne the Manager is uncontactable. What an absolute disgrace
I recently rushed by 11 year old dog to the Fourways vet as he was having difficulty urinating and appeared constipated (he had undergone surgery at my regular vet a few days prior to this to remove a growth from his *****). After waiting for 2 hours the vet on duty, never got her name, finally came to the car and took him away. He was brought back to me about half an hour later in severe distress, completely unresponsive (appeared to be comatose) and unable to stand. His condition seemed to be deteriorating rapidly, but to my horror I was advised to take him home and take him back to my own vet the next morning (it was 00h30 in the morning). So would have had to wait 7 hours before he could be helped. When asked what happened the vet was very evasive and said she didn’t know, but when pushed she admitted she had perforated his bladder when she was trying to drain urine from it. Apparently he had been struggling at the time. With his condition deteriorating and the prospect of waiting another 7 hours before I could take him to my own vet I asked that he be put to sleep, as I didn’t want him to suffer any further. I left the Fourways veterinary clinic completed stunned and saddened not only for the loss of my beloved dog but for the cold and callous nature of the vet who had treated him. If this had happened to a human it would have been a criminal matter, but what the hell, just a poor old dog that trusted you to help him. SHAME ON YOU
I am so disgusted by the attitude and treatment by Dr Ross of my 17 year old cat,Hefty, who had just been diagnosed with Thyroid and parathyroid cancer by the clinic. It was agreed reluctantly that the kindest thing to do was to put our beloved cat to sleep. The test results and euthanasia would cost over R2000, which I did not have, so I asked if I could pay R400 and the balance on pay day. Thats when the nightmare began. Dr Ross grabbed Hefty's paw, which had fractured due to the calcium deficiency from the cancer and roughly tried to insert the needle into his vein, when this clumsy attempt failed she rammed the needle straight into his heart. He let out a load moan before dying on the table. My son 12 year old son witnessed the whole thing. when I phoned the Dr Ross the next day and asked for her details so I could lay a complaint with the Veterinary Council she became very aggressive and told me that this was standard practice to inject an animal into the heart if the vein collapses in its pay , and she had done nothing wrong and I was just trying to get out of paying. YOUR CORRECT MADAM I MOST CERTAINLY WILL NOT BE PAYING. YOU SHOULD BE THOROUGHLY ASHAMED. RIP Hefty
