A big shout out to the spares guys at Bikers Warehouse. Polite and efficient on the phone and pleasant to deal with at the counter. A great shopping experience.
Rating should be ZERO stars! Cannot even get through to the Parts department for Chev let alone get the spares. When the operator eventually takes a message, no one returns the call. It is like they just do not care - take it or leave it. What a pathetic excuse for a dealership. Stay away if you value your sanity.
I bought an online Lotto ticket through Standard Bank on May 16th. The ticket had 3 correct numbers and I was entitled to a payout from Standard Bank. To date I have received no payment. When trying to log a call on the 0860 123 000 which is the number given by the online ticket messaging system to report Lotto queries, you discover there is no option to actually do this when you listen to the automated call centre voice. What a pathetic system. IF the bank cannot even keep track of Lotto winnings I really have to question their competence as 'bean counters'. My advice - if you play Lotto just buy a normal ticket.. Forget online Lotto through Standard. Useless.
Builders Express Bryanston - what can I say about the incompetent, sullen, rude cashiers who think they are doing you a favour by even responding to a question. So here is the story - I select an tin of paint from the shelf which has a price label underneath. When I get to the cashier who offers no greeting, she rings up a different price. I correct her and she instantly goes into 'bad attitude' mode and barks out to her manager who lazily makes her way to the till and overrides the price. No apology, no explanation, just visible indignation that I dared to make their lives inconvenient. To top if off, the cashier serving me then cracks some joke about the episode in the vernacular to her mate and they have a good chuckle. When I asked her what was so funny she just ignores me. And to think so many are unemployed but those with a job are too short sighted to try and do their best. Only in Africa. Bye bye Builders - I can pronounce Leroy Merlin now.
This bunch have had a motorcycle advertised on AUTOTRADER for about a year. I went in to have a look at it about a year ago, only to be told it was sold. However, every time I search for that type of motorcycle on AUTOTRADER, their ad comes up again with the same bike advertised. I sent an email a few weeks requesting a callback - needless to say I am still waiting. I am not sure what their game is but I would on principle never buy a vehicle of any description from them. If they think getting customers into their shop under false pretenses will improve business, they need to think again.
Massive thumbs up for the guys at GutsnGas. Great service and prices. Thank you Kieran and Vin.
This crowd are the promoters of the Monster Energy competition now running to win a car. Part of the competition is to submit a code via SMS to a number in order to enter the competiton. This code is obtained from every MONSTER energy drink and is supposedly unique. After sending in the code you receive a confirmation that your entry is valid and has been received. However on several occasions (at least 5) I have sent in a code, only to receive a reply that the code is either invalid or has been already used. This is impossible if the numbers are supposedly unique and I have that number on the ringpull of the can I have in my possession. This is very suspicious. You are supposedly able to register any so called invalid codes on a website by scanning an image of the unique number on the ringpull to prove the number you have is valid. A representative is then supposed to contact you. I scanned in 7 codes and sent them then scanned copy. I am still waiting for a call. This has also happened to other people I know. This competition is either run by idiots or is a scam. BEWARE. Buy REDBULL instead.
Online delivery is a joke. Ordered an item online from Builders last week. 2 days later i get an SMS saying it will be delivered that day. I wait the whole morning until 3 when I get another SMS saying the delivery will no longer take place. This was a Saturday. On Monday I phone to find out the situation. I am told it will be delivered on Tuesday. Tuesday comes - no delivery. Today is now the 3rd time I am playing this game with Builders - again told on the phone that the delivery was supposed to be yesterday!. Yes I know that! - so when is it happening now ?? I am told they will get back to me. I am still waiting. WARNING - don't waste your time with their delivery 'system' - just pick it up yourself. They are useless communicators. Better still, buy from somewhere else. Builders is overpriced and getting too big for their boots.

DO not waste your time buying MONSTER if you are looking to win a car- chances are you cannot be entered because your number is invalid. What a shabby setup. I
Could not get any worse service if you tried. Cashiers with no masks twiddling their thumbs whilst the queue is out the door, 1 counter for vehicle licenses, computers offline. etc etc Lucky, we have a statue of Castro to remind us where we are headed.
