I have a case to separate my accounts, which when I first called the turnaround time was 72 hours and stayed more than a week and my case was not resolved. I called three times and the answer is your case is still under investigation(i don't know what they are investigating because I just want my accounts separated (which are up to date by payments). The lady i spoke to on the last call change the turnaround time now is 7 working days. my case was open on 14/06/21 and now is 28/06/21 it has not to be resolved. The responses from the call centre are really not helpful eg "I will escalate it to the back office and send it to my manager". If I say can I speak to the back office or manager, response "there are no numbers for back office and the manager is contacted by email due to covid". Hope they can remove the call centre, useless middle man and customers can call the back office. I really don't understand what is so hard to separate my accounts.
I got stuck in the afternoon with kids when I called for the car to take us to our destination I was told that they will send a car but I need to pay it and can only claim R500 but I pay for a courtesy car every month. They said they will tow the car to the nearest garage which is 200 km away from home at least I expected that they will take the car to the closes garage to my home address. i had to call my husband to come tow us and they would not even send a person to assist or keep you safe.
I had the worse experience twice with lipco, the first I had a contract with MTN and all of a sudden they said I own R15000 while my contract was less than R300 a month and I called lipco they became MTN lawyers because whatever I said that I have not made calls to Mozambique as MTN claim I was asked if I had proof and the logs on my phone cannot be proved as I can easily erase the numbers. I said I had the statement from MTN which shows numbers I did not know and I have not call. I asked lipco to follow this up as my lawyers and find where MTN got this number but they told me they will look into it. it's been 4 years or more they have been looking into it. the second case I have been robbed money at work at gunpoint and at work they could not prove it was negligence but still withdraw the money from my salary. I called lipco and they told me to find the policy about my case, of which I did and send it to them and called and I was told to wait they will search for it and review it. the next time I called somebody on the lipco side told me she does not know of this case and the is nothing about the policy in my account.
