Extremely poor after sales service. Poor technical backup and non existent after hours and weekends. Free installation, no service contract, month to month basis according to their marketing bla bla bla... but o boy, if you cancel their service they are quick to bill you for installation When choosing a ISP please look some ware else or deal with the frustration.
What APPALLING service from ABSA Insurance after 18 years as a client. Quick to take your yearly insurance premiums up front, add it to your bond and charge you interest on it as well. Had roof tiles damage (Sept 2018) and subsequent damage to ceilings to my house due to storm winds, reported it to ABSA insurance. They sent out their "assessor" who also turned out to be the contractor appointed for the job with an max approval of R 15 000 for repair. I had an independent contractor asses the damage and quote (R 8 000) for repairs on site day of assessment. The assessor got wind of this and his assessment report stated " roof tiles are loose one come off and there is cracks on ridges and few roof tiles cracked this is due to poor maintenance and not caused by a storm. this is not a valid claim and client will use his own service provider to do repairs" Follow up mails to HOC Insurance dept to dispute this was ignored , even by department manager Mr. Shaun Gys ( 011 5015694). Second incidence in May 2019 , wind damage again , tiles blown of in storm. It took ABSA more than a month to approve the claim to be repaired by their appointed contractor. Surely one would expect damaged roofs in the Western Cape to be repaired within a week of winter storms. I caution all future potential ABSA bond applications check the fine print and not to go wit ABSA Home insurance.
Poor service from Samsung Service Center. I handed in a Samsung S7 phone for repairs at the Samsung Shop at Somerset Mall on the 9th of January 2018. Paid assessment fee of R 228.00 and repair cost of R 2 724.00. Subsequently the phone has "disappeared". Unitronics who is/was a service provider to Samsung , who was paid to do the repair, just refers all inquiries to Samsung. After numerous emails & telephone calls since 26th April to Samsung HQ, the whereabouts of the phone could not be established. I am told by Samsung that the issue is being escalated. It has been more than 2 months with no progress. I am VERY disappointed in Samsung for such poor customer service. As an owner of Samsung appliances I have to reconsider the use of any Samsung products in future.
BEWARE !!! STAY AWAY FROM UNITRONICS. DO NOT HAVE ANY PRODUCTS REPAIRED WITH THEM!!! I handed in a Samsung S7 for repairs at the Samsung shop in Sumerset Mall on the 9th January 2018. Had to pay R 228.00 for assessment fee. Waited 12 days for a quotation . On 9th Feb 18 I instructed Unitronics Smartcare & Elcardo Theunis via email to proceed with the repairs. After no response from Unitronics regarding the status of the repair, I was contacted by Lisa on 10th April to inform me that I had to pay upfront for the repair. On 12th April 18 I did the EFT payment to Unitronics R 2 724.00. After numerous attempts to establish the status of the repair , I was informed by Elcardo Theunis on the 26th April 18 that I must contact Samsung direct as Unitronics does not support product repairs anymore and that my phone was sent to Samsung Head Office in Johannesburg I then contacted Samsung on the 26th April 2018 and spoke to N, who requested me to send all supporting documentation to Samsung. All supporting documentation was sent to Samsung on 26th April 18. On 2nd May 18 I spoke to T at Samsung call center regarding the status of my query. I was informed that it does not reflect on their system that the phone was received. I have tried to contact Elcardo Theunis of Unitronics ********** ) with address UNITRONICS: Electronic Service Centre 11 Park Lane , C/O Park & Century Way, Century City, T: ********** / ********** / ********** , F: ********** , to send me proof that the device was delivered to Samsung HQ as stated by him on 26th April 2018. To date I have only received an automated reply stating that Unitronics no longer provides support, repairs or servicing of mobile phones. The whereabouts of my phone could not be established and Elcardo has not sent me proof that the phone was sent to Samsung HQ. Unitronics does not answer any emails or telephone calls.
