Would give a zero if I could. 10mb ADSL order. In summary, placed an order in January 2019 and it's now June 2019. Called in nearly every week since placing the order and all I have is an order number and a telephone number. I have never been contacted back by Telkom. Here is a list of reasons I've been given: - Technician didn't call because there is no 10mb in the area, even after being verified by sales. (I would accept 4mb if they had asked.) - Order was placed, but order number was not allocated. (Not sure how this is possible?) - Order was placed twice. Order not synced with technical. (Apparently if you have 2 orders, you get none.) - Order got stuck on the system. IT request lodged. - IT request not completed, expired. (When it expires, it goes into the abyss.) - All four systems offline, multiple times. "System(s) offline". - Order can't be reported to the technician. Order can't be cancelled. IT Request has to be placed again. (Actually felt for the guy, he tried but his hands were tied. He couldn't even cancel the order.) (Again, nobody has ever contacted me from Telkom about this order) I can honestly say I've never dealt with a more useless company. Given up on actually getting ADSL. I'll keep trying only to see if they will ever actually complete my order.
It took 3 months to cancel my month-to-month sim-only data contract. I send the correct documents to ********** on 9 Mar 2018 and again on another two occasions with no response. I had to deal with 5 different consultants (initiated by me every time) to eventually get the cancellation finalised, requesting a refund every time. Debit orders continued to come off my account and I have not yet been refunded, despite following up just about every week via email and the website. They used the incorrect cancellation date and calculated the incorrect refund amount on the (hopefully) final invoice. Lodged a complaint with ICASA to hopefully get it resolved. I was really proactive in cancelling this account and it took 3 months to just cancel the account. I won't be signing up any debit order contracts with Telkom ever again.
