I bought a new vehicle from BB Suzuki Gezina last year, specifically from Hugo "The Car Guy" Meyer. The entire experience was a pleasure. From the first time we met on the floor, he patiently negotiated with me around almost everything (I was not an easy sale, he had to work for it) and even the document signing process went smooth. Hugo made the delivery super special (It was a gift for my daughter). Unfortunately, about a month later my daughter was involved a huge hit and run accident. Hugo was always willing to help with advice and assistance following this. Eventually the vehicle was repaired (he even assisted in sourcing spares), and he arranged with the Service Department who did a full safety inspection on the vehicle to independently verify that the repairs were done at the highest standards. This kind of service goes above and beyond just selling a car. Thanks Hugo and BB. I will certainly be dealing with you again in the near future.
Sharetrackin – Please Read Before Signing If you are considering Sharetrackin, please do thorough research and do not allow yourself to be rushed or pressured into signing anything. I was contacted by phone and offered a presentation promising an opportunity to make money on the stock exchange. At the time, I was under financial pressure and agreed to the meeting. The salesperson was professional and convincing, and the system was presented as simple and highly profitable. In hindsight, it sounded too good to be true. I was asked to sign several contracts during the presentation without being given sufficient time to study the fine print or reflect on the decision. I later discovered that I had committed to: • R1,642.96 per month for 48 months via CT Finance • Interest rate: 27.75% • Additional service and protection fees • Total repayment: approximately R90,750 • Plus R399 per month for 24 months for a subscription (R9,576 total) These full costs were not clearly disclosed upfront. The service mainly consists of online training and access to Telegram groups providing trading ideas. I was told investments would be leveraged, but this was never explained clearly or in a way I could fully understand. Opening and linking the actual trading account was delayed and problematic. I later learned that Trade Nation, the trading platform, is not part of Sharetrackin, and that their support is supposedly “free,” which raised serious concerns about what exactly I was paying for. Despite claims that this only requires minutes a day, the reality is that it demands constant attention and time. I also believe that the profit figures discussed are largely theoretical. After signing, I noticed an unusually high number of positive Hello Peter reviews. During my experience, I received repeated calls encouraging me to submit a favourable review, which made me uncomfortable. Once the sales excitement wears off, you may find yourself locked into long-term debt (close to R100,000) for a service that may not suit your time availability, risk tolerance, or expectations. My advice: remain level-headed, read every contract carefully, calculate the total cost, and do not sign anything under pressure. I hope this helps others make an informed decision.
I fully agree with Allison E regarding the many confusing charges Standard Bank has on their credit cards. How long will you pay a cash finance charge for? When is the cash portion paid in full? Should the cash finance charge not reduce with time? If you transferred cash when you got the card and then swipe from there the cash finance charge must reduce. Is this even legal? Let's find out...
We have been patrons at Burger Bistro Pierneef for a very long time and have never been disappointed. Their food is consistently great. Often restaurants experience ups and downs but not these guys. Inviting, friendly service and absolutely great food. Keep it up guys.
I have owned quite a number of Fossil watches over the years and have always liked the brand very much. As a rule I only take my watches to Fossil for service or battery changes. Unfortunately the last time my watch went for a battery replacement it was not properly sealed and got water damage. I sent it in and clearly informed them what happened. A few weeks later I was contacted by the repair Centre and told that I would have to pay for the repairs. I stated that I was not willing to pay because I felt it was not my fault. A few weeks later my watch was ready for collection and guess what, I had to pay.
I visited Builders Warehouse Gezina on 05/04/2024 to refill my LP gas cylinder. I was told that they did not have any and expected delivery by 09/04/2024. No issues, it happens. I returned on 14/04/2024 only to be told that they don't have gas. I went to see the Manager and it seemed that the person responsible was busy with something else and that they did have gas but could not do exchanges due to cylinder availability. I left and returned later in the day only to be told that they don't have gas. This kind of service is just not acceptable.
I have a service agreement with Solartech that is paid monthly and requires them to service my solar geyser annually.
The service is due each year in April which suited me perfectly because I want it to work optimally during winter with less sun.
Last year after some complaining the service was only carried out in July and was not as thorough as previous years (Pipe insulation was not replaced).
I expected the service to be carried out in April of this year again but as the end of June approached and still no service I mailed them expressing my disappointment.
Naidene Knife responded and apologized and assured me that it will be done. By 7 October I mailed them again, demanding my long overdue service and a refund from May as well as the cancellation of the contract.
On 9 October the technician sent me a sms that they will come the same day for the service. I replied that it will have to be before 12:00 because there won't be anyone after 12:00. He replied that they will try otherwise they will arrange for the next week. I have not heard anything since.
This is unacceptable. They know how to deduct the money every month but do not keep to their side of the contract.

Kind Regards
