Telkom has a policy that if you are one month overdue on your account, they soft lock your fixed line and interrupt your WiFi, so you cannot use them. What I cannot accept, is that while the lines are blocked, they continue charging for the service, adding the amounts to your next bill. That seems unethical
I am totally fed up with the abysmal service provided by Wesbank I settled a HP agreement, yet Wesbank has deducted, not 1 but 2 further instalments, which are sitting in the account, resulting a credit balance. I have sent countless emails, every time, a different person responds, I have submitted FICA documentation, as they requested, yet still, over six weeks have passed since the vehicle was settled and still I can't get the funds back. It is ridiculous that an entity can hold on to funds that are not theirs. I have requested the matter to be escalated, yet nothing happens. I have requested feedback, yet nothing happens.
I brought a Discovery 4 to LandRover Hillcrest for a major service at 175 000km, which was carried out by this delearship. New Cambelts and various items changed to the tune of R25 000. 13 000km later, the motor seizes and Landrover opinion was "fair wear and tear". New sub assembly and machined top half, costs R142 000, which was paid, and I was given a one year warranty on motor. 11 months later, and 11 000km into the new motor, Massive engine failure, due to the plastic water housing unit, which sits between the sub assembly and the top half of the engine, splitting in two, and water drained from the motor so quickly, that it seized again. When I approached Land Rover Hillcrest for them to honour the warranty, they said, that they didn't replace the water housing unit, so therefore, its not under warranty and they basically walked away with no suggestion of assistance whatsoever. I would NEVER BUY A LANDROVER FROM THESE UNETHICAL PEOPLE OR ANYONE ELSE
Took vehicle to Bosch, Hillcrest with power steering failure. After a few days they advised that "THEIR SPECIALIST" has advised that the power steering unit motor had to be replaced, together with the steering rack. I asked why the rack and power module had to be replaced, and they advised that it was a complete unit so both had to be replaced. I had the option of a new system or re-conditioned (which attracted no warranty), but due to limited resources, I choose the re-conditioned unit. Had the vehicle for ONE, yes ONE day and the power steering went again. I took it back to Bosch, and they said the power unit had failed and that I had to replace it again. I had already paid R16 000 for the first one, so I was amazed that they just refused an accountability. I then phoned the agents for the vehicle, who advised me that the advice given to me was incorrect, and that ONLY the power module should have been replaced, at a cost of R9 000. When I approached Bosch, they hide behind their belief "thats what you get when you buy secondhand" - this after they gave me the wrong diagnosis in the beginning. If they had done their job properly, I would have paid R9 000 for a new module, and the car is up and running. Now I'm R16 000 down and need to pay another R9 000 to have it fixed properly. In my opinion they are unscrupulous, unethical and unprofessional. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THEM
