I have been with MiWay for over a decade now. When Collen Ntlailane, a senior advisor called me back as requested, he managed to reduce my excess and premium costs. He was so professional and helpful. He gave me some really good advice
She was friendly and helpful. Explained everything in details. She was very patient
Mpho Marutla gave the top tier service. I’m a happy client and got to save money.
In 2016, i was involved in a car accident. The person who was driving my car then, lost control of the vehicle, went over the pavement and collided with the tree. MiWay approved my claim and appointed Olympus Panel beaters (Pretoria) to fix the car which they did, at least i thought they did. Being the first time buyer and a first time claimer, i knew a little about cars and claiming process. I did everything according to the process and trusted that MiWay & Olympus Panel beaters would do everything in their power to fix the car as good as new. I was gravely wrong. For obvious reasons, the car was never the same again and i thought it was due to the accident. Over the years, i experienced various problems relating to the suspension of the car. I replaced a lot of damaged & worn out parts for the suspension, but the problems persisted. On the 03.04.2019, i decided to take the car in for thorough inspection with the aim to fix it once and for all at whatever cost. We put a new gear box, CVs and bolt joints etc. but still not satisfied with the car. He then took it to Motor Vision (Pretoria) on 12.04.2019, & they found few problems with the suspension as suspected. The Chassis control was bent, Chassis Legs, caster, camber, shock mounting etc. were damaged. They called me to ask if i went through the pavement and the only time i recall is when i has the accident. That is when i realized that , the problems began after the accident. Which means that, MiWay assessors did not do a proper job in assessing the damage. Olympus Panel Beaters also did not do their due diligence when it comes to damage assessment. They only repaired what the MiWay assessors told them. As i am typing this review, i have to pay over R15 000 to fix my car, which is something that should have been solved in 2016. I am not happy with Miway and i have been with them from 2012. This is the kind of reward you get for being loyal to them. This is not the last time they hear of this.

After my battle with MiWay in July 2018 regrading my claim, it was finally resolved. I was re-quoted again and saved R600 on my monthly premiums. When i received a letter of increase for November 2018, i called them back. I was assisted by Mpho & Maduvha, who then re-quoted me again and saving me further R50 on my already reduced premiums. This i appreciate so much.
I am not happy with the overall service I received from both the panel beaters (HJ Bosch & Sons) and MiWay claims department, especially Henk Groenewald. Immeadiately after the car was repaired for the first time, I noticed the following: 1. Gap between the bumper and the fender is noticeably big and was told that it's because salvage parts were used. This is not the first salvage bumper I had and it was done well. 2. Aircon vent is broken (see attached pic) 3. There's a funny and continuous sound coming from an engine when pressing the accelerator 4. The engine "idling/running" sound is also un-ignorably loud and quite weird. 5. Sunvisor mirror (R/F) I immediately reported to the paneltbeater and returned the car for further inspection. For (1.) above, new bumper was replaced after a hassle with Henk. For (3.) Something was lose and was fixed. Numbers (2.) & (5.) was refused by Henk and had to replace these items myself. Now for number (4.), I later discovered that the sound was coming from the aircon. I told the panelbeaters this and they checked and found out that it was due to broken aircon pump which Henk refused to approve saying it wasn’t ue to the accident. I fail to understand this as this sound was never there before the accident and the collision was a front one.
