It would appear from my current exprience with a problem Goodyear tyre that since pulling out of SA, they may be resistant to honouring warrantee/guarantee. Doesn't fill me with any confidence to buy any. I bought a pair of Goodyears only to discover after about 1 000km a persisting vibration. I reverted to the dealer who said it was a 'flat spot'. Remedy, swop types to rear of vehilce and drive for 10 000km. Well 10 000km is now up and the rear wheel is not safe to drive on. Reverted to dealer who approached Goodyear reps, who are incredbily difficult to contact; I was eventually given the number of Goodyear Tek Head (one Jade) who suggested I provide more photos and undertake a wheel alignment. This I've done. The alignment was underetaken by specialists who took one look at the tyre and commented that judging by the nature of the damage, the tyre was defective. There are no consistent signs of damage caused by alignment. Nonetheless an alignment exercise was undertaken and the results showed no adjustments were required to the alignment, cast, or camber, of the vehicle since all indicators are in specification. Goodyear Tek Head has looked at my amateur photos and declared an alignment problem. Two dealers and a speciast on physically viewing the tyre, all agree a defective manufacture. The tyre was made in Poland in 04/2022. Goodyear need to honour their warranty at 1 000km.
1. I want to transfer my line to a new residence -"Moving House". 2. When I get through to MWEB, you're placed in a excessively long queue - burnt R140 airtime waiting. 3. Tlked to friends about this - lots of them say htey have the same bad experience with MWEB. 4. MWEB technical is great - the rest - aweful. 5. Tried singing in on their platform - system doesn't function properly - won't give me the option to choose a service. 6. I want to give notice of my intent to Move House. Unable to do so, but I'm sure they'll say I haven't given enough notice, despite all my attempts to do so.
Thanks to Christo for sharing his experience. I'm in the market for 3x 6m containers and made contact with Alpha (Claasen). Everything about this outfit smells ***** - website copy, english language, spelling, invoice inserts, banking account confirmation, etc. I'm out before I regret it. Thanks again Christo!
A company does not provide a service, it's the staff they employ that do the servicing. It's also the staff that create the reputaiton of a company - good or otherwise. So the choice of competent staff is key! In this regard my (first) end-to-end experience with Momentum was interacting with Norah Derading a Claims Consultant (Contents & All risks claims). Professional, Efficient, Communicative, Initiating. A very welcome surprise in a time of general low standard of service in SA. Very pleased to recommend her highly!!
Having read some rather old reviews, I sent Raru an email asking about the old reviews and had Kurt reply to me. He explained that they had made changes which had had the desired positive result. So I decided to test the changes by ordering a drum kit. Bottom line, the drum kit arrived when anticipated and in perfect condition. I was provided with a courier company phone number and tracking number which I used to be aware of delivery status. Kurt also kept me updated on delivery. Bottom line: whatever changes they made certainly made my experience a great one....I have no reason not to use them in the future!
