It would appear from my current exprience with a problem Goodyear tyre that since pulling out of SA, they may be resistant to honouring warrantee/guarantee. Doesn't fill me with any confidence to buy any. I bought a pair of Goodyears only to discover after about 1 000km a persisting vibration. I reverted to the dealer who said it was a 'flat spot'. Remedy, swop types to rear of vehilce and drive for 10 000km. Well 10 000km is now up and the rear wheel is not safe to drive on. Reverted to dealer who approached Goodyear reps, who are incredbily difficult to contact; I was eventually given the number of Goodyear Tek Head (one Jade) who suggested I provide more photos and undertake a wheel alignment. This I've done. The alignment was underetaken by specialists who took one look at the tyre and commented that judging by the nature of the damage, the tyre was defective. There are no consistent signs of damage caused by alignment. Nonetheless an alignment exercise was undertaken and the results showed no adjustments were required to the alignment, cast, or camber, of the vehicle since all indicators are in specification. Goodyear Tek Head has looked at my amateur photos and declared an alignment problem. Two dealers and a speciast on physically viewing the tyre, all agree a defective manufacture. The tyre was made in Poland in 04/2022. Goodyear need to honour their warranty at 1 000km.

I purchased two tyres from TWT in December 2023. Within 12 months both tyres developed bubbles. When I reported the issue in December 2024, I was told it was pothole damage without proper inspection. The focus was on selling me new tyres rather than investigating. In August 2025, an alternate reputable company inspected the tyres and alerted me that both had failed in the exact same position. They advised me to return the tyres, which confirmed this was not ordinary wear or road damage. Despite this, TWT still maintains it was road damage. The suggestion that I somehow managed to damage both tyres in the exact same spot is unrealistic. Instead of acknowledging the evidence, I was left to carry the replacement cost myself. Poor after-sales support and disappointing customer care.

I bought three tyres last year February or March and I was given an assurance that they should at least last me for at least 5years. I don’t travel much and drives on the urban road with minimal potholes and have not done ten thousand kilometres. Now one of them has a bulge on the left side and I am told stories. Never ever buy goodyear. There is nothing good

I have bought bought new tyres for my vehicle in august but the quality of the tyres is so poor it easily get punched on the road and I am only using freeways to travel to work however I have been punched more 7times and I did report the matter by tiger wheels where i actually bought the tyres I paid R8200 for 4 brand new tyres and I am highly disappointed with the treatment I have received from the manager of the store today when i tried contacting them because I did contact them more than 2 times complaining about the same thing but they never get back to me and today i requested to speak to a manager and he said what he must if I am the one picking the nails on the road I am so disappointed with the poor quality of the tyres and the rudeness i received from a male called a manager in Durban branch tiger wheels..I am so seeking for your assistance as these tyres are meant to be brand new but the quality is just not good at all and no one has ever contacted me since..

I have purchased a runflat tire at Limpopo tires Polokwane / Tiremart. The tire was under warranty when I got a puncture on R101 to my holiday destination with my family on the 30th of December 2023 in the evening. Given that my car doesn’t come with a spare wheel, I called the nearest tire repair shop to help me be on my way as it was late. I took enough pictures of the damaged tire and the car. The tire repair people changed the tire as they said it could not be fixed since the damage was on the sidewall and pretty bad. I called Limpopo tires on the 2nd of January to inquire and they told me that they want the tire on the car physically at their shop to process warranty otherwise Good year wouldn’t let them process warranty claim. This is unfair to me as a consumer because it literally means I cannot drive outside Polokwane in order to successfully claim their warranty. Their terms and conditions are designed to rip customers off.

Second month without the 215/40R17 efficiencygrip being available on the market, we are now told it will only be available by the end of November, maybe we should consider other bands because this is really unacceptable
