I had 3 sets of curtains **** by Mix and Match. They did an excellent job.
We had a terrible experience ordering take-out from Roco Mama. They said it would take an hour when they normally say 10 minutes. When I arrived to fetch the food , it was ice cold. I then paid and took the food home, only to find they had not given us everything. I called them and they said they would send the food to our house. They took down both my address and telephone number incorrectly, so the delivery person could not find us. After several phone calls to find out where the food was, we eventually recieved ice cold food about one and a half hours later.
Every year Auto & General reviews the policy and asks for an increase way above inflation.
At the end of December, Discovery Health moved us from the Essential Comprehensive plan to the new Classic Comprehensive Plan, which was 33% more expensive, without making us aware that the monthly premium would jump by so much. They had said the average increase for all the plans was around 10%. This caught us totally unaware and was a very sneaky move by Discovery. We have been loyal customers on the Essential Comprehensive plan for years and are very annoyed at Discovery for suddenly removing that plan. Furthermore, to do it in the way which Discovery went about it, without sending out clear communication showing before and after monthly payments was uncalled for.
I had a good experience reporting our faulty geyser. A plumber was sent out and the geyser was replaced the same day.
I called Plumb1st out to come and check why water was leaking from our geyser overflow pipe. They had come out just 7 months ago and replaced the element, geyser and gasket. When I checked on the internet, it said the most probable reason for water leaking from the overflow pipe is a faulty thermostat. When I spoke to Plumb1st, they agreed to come out and check. I sent them a photo of the previous invoice. They never mentioned anything about charging a call out fee. The plumbers that arrived stated that the geyser was a very old 2010 model and that it needed to be replaced because it has cracked. My question is, if they came out last year, why would they have replaced the element, thermostat and gasket instead of recommending a new geyser at that point in time. The geyser was surely in pretty bad shape then already. After the two plumbers had come out and given a quote, they insisted that I must either accept the quote immediately or pay the R650 in cash. As I had not expected to be paying a call out fee, I did not have that amount of cash on me, They called their boss and told him, but he insisted I had to pay. I then called him myself. At that point in time, he would not even hear me out. He started screaming and ranting and raving at me. He then told me to "go stick that f...ing R**** up my ass". I cannot believe that any service provider would be so rude to his client. I definitely do not recommend that anyone make use of their services.
I bought some clothes at Forever New. They were not cheap, but I expected them to last for years. However, I had to return one blouse because it was coming apart at the seams the next day. They got a replacement from another store, but it was also coming apart. Now the navy blazer that I bought is starting to come apart at the seams. It is barely a year old and I have worn it at most between 6 and 10 times. Clothing shops should make an effort to buy and sell quality clothing to their customers.
