This is the 2nd time I am using FLOAT for a big purchase. The 1st time around, everything went smoothly. Communication on time, reserves held and then released timeously. 3 months, no problem. This time however has been extremely problematic. No communication on debits. No reserve held. Debiting directly from my credit card instead of the reserve. My credit card is now blocked. I have been in good standing on my credit card FOR 10 YEARS!!! When I called my bank to enquire if there was even a reserve authorised on my purchase via FLOAT, I was told no. Where is the R70 000 with which I purchased from Leroy Merlin from via FLOAT? NOBODY KNOWS. FLOAT as expected, has now gone silent.
This is on going claim: SUZU3659250 My mom’s accident was in mid August. She called in to start the claims process as soon as she received the police report around the 27th of August. To date, Dotsure has us sending pictures, emails and calling in without returning one single response. The only time they respond is when I actively pick up the phone and call them. Our delegated agent is Avril. She has made it very clear with her actions that she doesn’t want to deal with us. Very nice on the phone but forgets that we are paying clients as soon as she hangs up. When I bring this up to her, she apologises and says she’ll call or answer the emails. Nothing since. I just won a case with DHA today. I’m happy to go the same route with Dotsure.
Condones bullying and protects the perpetrators while leaving the victims without any dignity or support. They also have a habit of deleting bad online reviews because apparently that is less “involved” than dealing with the issue at hand. As a parent, I do not recommend.
Took a long-term rental (12 months) with Drivve in November 2021. It's a month to month contract that you can cancel at any point according to their T's & C's which appealed to me at the time as I didn't want to be stuck in a contract at that point in my life. I paid a refundable deposit as well as an admin fee plus first months's rental fee and was told to go pick up the vehicle from Pace. All went well. For 11 months I have not missed a payment and have paid on time. My life circumstances changed suddenly and I found myself having to cancel my lease within a few days. I contacted Drivve and was told to return the vehicle to Pace with a full tank (I had not received it with a full tank) which I did, from there Pace would send a report to Drivve and from that report, my deposit refund would be allocated. The vehicle was inspected in front of me and I was told that bar a minor dent on the door of the seat behind the driver's seat, the car was immaculate and that was that. (my contract covered dings and minor dents caused by every day usage of the vehicle). I then received a charge (R350) from Drivve for admin on I'm guessing are a traffic fine search? My fines had been paid two weeks before I returned the vehicle. I paid the charge and made an enquiry on my refund, I was told that it had been handed over to accounts. Two weeks have since passed with no communication. Unfortunately Drivve has fallen into that infamous niche of start-ups that are great when you sign on, but are a pain when you leave their service. They only care so long as you're their customer and are paying your rental fee.
My business is located at the Bedford Centre Towers which is managed by JHI Properties. I have been battling with two issues: 1) Breach of contract - my contractual agreement with them included a tenant installation. After enquiring about it after becoming operational at the building, I was told that in order to be added as a vendor (and to receive my tenant installation) I needed to submit various documents to which I did. The latest one being a letter of good standing. This did not form part of the conditions on the initial agreement however I am a good tenant and I played along. From April 2022 till now, I wait. Any communication with the building management is treated as hostile or promises are made and then not kept. At this point, they are in direct breach and I will be suing. 2) Complaints and constructive criticism are not taken seriously. The floor on which my business is on is grossly neglected. I actually rounded up the tenants of the 3rd floor and we all went to management to complain about the status of the floor. We were told that they had never been to the 3rd floor and therefore do not know how it looks. We then told they'd have a look and revert. We still wait. Examples of the neglect: the communal kitchen leaks, smells, is rotting and is unclean. The bathrooms have no ventilation and are not cleaned on a regular basis. Don't do it. They really only care about their bottomline and are overt in their mistreatment of tenants. You have only to look at their score on here to see that.
I need assistance with my business account. I currently cannot link it to my app. I cannot make payments using it online. When I call in, nobody can hear me. An issue that is unique to the business account as the private client call centre hears me just fine. This has been happening for months and I am beyond frustrated. I'd like to set up my business solutions so I can pay myself a salary, however as it stands, I am not afforded the use of basic amenities.
What a wonderful option to have! Definitely consider Weelee if you’re tired of having to vet potential buyers yourself. Their service is impeccable. The process is simple - they do the difficult task of getting your vehicle in front of vetted buyers and get it sold. Once that is done, the ball is in your court and they guide you all the way. Go ahead and try it!
After fighting with SAMRO from 2014 for non-payment for multiple songs that I have written and sung that have been aired repeatedly for many years and songs that were played during every episode during the first season of Take Me Out SA - I have yet to receive a single cent of my royalties. Not a cent. Instead, I have been sent from pillar to post from November 2017 regarding an EFT document and certified documentation I needed to submit in order to receive my payment. All of which I’ve submitted, all which have been rejected several times for reasons that include a bank confirmation letter having being stamped by an ATM machine which is not permitted. To which I replied “Which ATM machine issues out bank confirmation letters?” The response was an apology and then I was told that a document’s certification stamp had expired. When that was fixed I was given another EFT document to sign and asked to provide a clearer image of my I D copy. I have and I’m being told certification on the ID copy I had certified yesterday has expired. Can I just repeat that this clear copy of my ID was certified and then sent yesterday? SAMRO doesn’t want to pay me my money. I have not received a statement-nothing. You can imagine how heartbreaking it is to see my work on TV and know that it’s been aired for free.
