So first the maternity program for gems is not anything to be proud of as I constantly had problems with them. Now there is a problem getting feedback on my nasal aspirator that I have requested from medical aid. I have forward the dr script and the quote from Dischem. This was send on the 27 September 2025. I have phoned twice and asked what the outcomes it. Last week the agent excalated the request for me and said I will here this week which is now the 23 October 2025 almost a month that I am waiting. And this is for a baby even worse. I have also send an email to ask what is the outcomes and no one is even answering. You are paying yout butts of for a medical aid that is actually not helping at all.
So I have been having a problem for medical aid paying my last 2 scans for my 3rd trimester from the 27 May. First my ICD 19 code was incorrect. Then the tarrif code does not exist. Now the dr did not put through the amount and it was according to gems not in my gestantional age. The scans was done as 29 weeks and 33 weeks and 6 days. My benefits clearly states the tariff code 43270 which was used and that it states I have 2 scans for the 3rd trimester. I have been in communication with Luyanda Njomose where there is no communication futher. The doctor already sended me a statement where I need to pay the 2 scans because medical aid is rejecting it. Which I am refusing to pay as medical aid provided me with 2 scans for my 3rd trimester. I want this sorted out ASAP as I have been doing my scans according to the right times according to the high risk benefits provided to me. The correct tariff codes and the correct ICD10 code. This is really pathetic. Gems must pay those two scans as it is part of my benefits. The dates is the 27 May and 30 June for dr Kekana. Icd 10 code 34.0 and tariff code 43270 and dont say it does not exist then you need to review your hish risk pregnancy careplan tariff codes as it is there and also to say that I have 2 scans for 3rd trimester.
I went to the OB for my pregnancy on the 27 May. On the 9 June the dr uploaded the statement. I have phoned gems on the 9 June ref:170848832 and emailed complaints on the same day ref: MH (GENCOM-575033). My OB visit went off my day to day which is suppose to go off my maternity high risk benefits and they have rejected my scan where I have scans left. The turn around time is 7 days. And we are past the 7 days. On the 30 June I need to see the OB again and this problem is still not resolved as I have asked it needs to be corrected before then.
So again I am having a problem with my medical aid. I am on maternity high risk careplan. Dr Siecker (19 April 2025) went off my day to day. Dr Foolchand (25 March 2025) went off my day to day. It needs to go off my maternity benefits. I am allowed 4 scans. The one for 25 March 2025 according to medical letter I am not suppose to pay which I did 800 and medical aid not giving me the money back. But according to medical aid I have 2 scans left. How if I have paid for the one? Which I am not even suppose to pay. My day to day and maternity benefits is not being sorted out. And now I am getting tired for Gems giving us maternity benefits but exhausting my medical aid and that I need to pay for scans that is given to me.
Hallo I am by Gems emerald value and on the high risk maternity care plan for my pregnance. So everytime I go to my OB they need to take it off my maternity high risk careplan benefits and they do not do that. They take it off my day to day and busy exhausting my medical aid. Some of the people working there have no clue how the maternity high risk care plan works and say that my medical aid needs to be exhausted for the maternity careplan to take effect. But why then apply for the maternity care plan. On the 13 January 2025 I went for my first OB visit and also took it off my day to day. I have phoned and they have fixed it and took it off my maternity care plan. On the 17 February I went to my OB again and again they took it off my day to day refusing to change it to my maternity careplan. I went to dr Kekana. I am getting sick of phoning in the whole time for them to fix their mess. Asif i need to do their work. If hallo peter can please step in and help me in my case with the high risk maternity careplan and to make sure my benefits for the maternity care plan is being used for my high risk pregnancy and not to use my day to day. I am allowed to see the OB 9 times during my pregnance which is not suppose to go off my day to day but my maternity careplan. I also have the correct ICD 10 codes and tarriff codes and also proof of my maternity careplan. Really get sick of this incomptence. On the 13 March I need to see dr Kekana again and on the 25 March I need to see dr Foolchand. They also took dr Foolchands consultation off my day to day which was also suppose to be taken off my high risk maternity careplan. I saw dr Foolchand on the 3 February 2025. By the time the baby is born and I really need to see a dr I would not have any medical aid the way they are caring on. They told me all my OB visits and 4 scans etc needs to be taken off the maternity high risk careplan with the correct ICD 10 codes and tarriff codes which are used. Gems just does not want to help. And now the accounts are settled while im still fighting it.
I have placed an order on the 27 April 2024. Up till today I am waiting for my items I have ordered. It first ended up by the incorrect courier and is on its way to the warehouse from the 3 May 2024. So out off all the items I have order I only received 2 items. I have now asked for my money back. Some of my emails gets ignored or my order is on its way to the warehouse. Now I want my money back as it costs me double because I needed to go and buy the items in the shop. It is ridiculous to wait so long for tgeir mistake. I want my money back and the head office is not of any help.
