I placed an order for a bike from Makro online on the 25/07/2024. It was the incorrect size so i logged a return on the 01/08/2024. I am STILL waiting for this item to be collected. It has now been 2 weeks of me phoning everyday and pleading with the consultants to please help me to resolve this. Everybody keeps apologizing and saying that they will escalate this but nothing has been done. Yesterday I was promised that it would be collected by courier but they did not come. I am completely disappointed and disgusted at this terrible level of service. Also, only once collected can the return be assessed and processed so this is just the beginning of the return process. The last three orders that I have placed on Makro on-line have had problems and nobody gets back to me so I am phoning them everyday but i am not getting any results. I am done with Makro.

Very bad service! Our furniture was delivered 2 days late. They damaged our driveway with their truck. A pair of shoes were stolen. Glass items were broken as well as my microwave and fridge scratched. It’s been over 3 months now and they keep avoiding me. They don’t answer my calls. My emails don’t get replied to. My WhatsApp messages are no longer getting delivered. I don’t know what is going on as I can no longer get hold of them. I would not recommend them to anyone, so unprofessional
I applied for a cellphone contract online at Vodacom last week Thursday 14th May, I received an email just after saying my application has been approved and my phone is on its way. This was great, fast and efficient I was obviously impressed. By Monday 18th MayI still hadn’t received anything so I emailed customer service. I waited all week for a reply and finally got a reply on Friday 22nd May to say that they do not have record of a new application for me on their system and that I should contact direct sales. My complaint is that I have it in writing that my application has been approved, why do they not have record of it. Secondly if it has been approved why is it taking so long for me to receive the phone and thirdly why is their customer service so bad that they could not check with direct sales for me instead of just referring me to someone else. This is highly disappointing, I thought that Vodacom would be a good company at which to place my business but they are proving otherwise.
I am very unhappy with the service delivery at Takealot. I placed an online order at Takealot last night and selected the cash on delivery option as my payment method. This morning I receive an email stating that my order has been cancelled due to payment not being received. I immediately called their customer service as I selected cash on delivery so how can they cancel my order from r not making a payment. Anyway, I got through to Vuyokazi Cuba who informed me that the cod option was not available for the product I was ordering. I then asked why I was given this payment option in the website if it wasn’t available as I have ordered from them before when cod was not given to me as an option. He then said he would have to escalate this as I shouldn’t have been given the option. The fact remains though that I was given this option and I was expecting to have my product delivered today as promised as I also had a R95 delivery fee added to my order for having the products delivered the next day. After holding food r a very long tway me, he came back and said that I can re-place the order while on the line with him and he will waive the same day delivery fee. So I asked if he can call me back as I had already been on the line with him for 19 minutes. He promised to call me back straight away. After about 15 minutes he still hasn’t called me back. I then called again, I spoke to another lady who said she would put me through to him, after holding for 6 minutes the call was disconnected. I called back, spoke to another lady who transferred the call to Vuyo. I asked why I had to call him back when he said he would call me, he then explained that I would no longer be able to select cod as my payment option when reordering my products. I then asked to speak to his manager as he promised me that I could do this and now he says that I can’t, false information being presented to me once again by Takealot! After holding for some time again Vuyo comes back and says that his manager will call me back in 2 min. 2 hours later I still had received a call from his manager. So I call back once again only to be told that Vuyo is not available. I then said somebody better call me back within the next 15min as my patience is really being tested now. After a few minutes I received a call from Ibrahim who then explains to me that I wasn’t supposed to be given the cod option on the website and Vuyo gave me incorrect information. I already knew this so his call was completely useless. This is the worst service I have ever received from Takealot and they do. It seem to care or make any effort to correct the situation as none of this was error on my part but very much on theirs. They do not care that their website is faulty and that me as the customer now has to be inconvenienced. Customer service at its worst!
