I have not been able to make or receive calls since 18 October. Date is fine. The phone is on 4G for data, but changes to H when I use the phone for voice calls, or signal disappears altogether. I have reported on MTN's website and was sent a questionnaire which I sent to their network coverage enquiry email address. I made another enquiry, including the ref number MTN sent me, and received the same questionnaire again this morning. In the meantime I still can't make or receive calls after 4 days without getting any answer from MTN. Does anyone else experience the same? Regards, Daan
I took my friend and her daughter from Zeerust to Lichtenburg for shopping on Sunday 20 December 2020. Deciding to have breakfast, we went to Black Steer, Lichtenburg, preferring to sit outside because there was ventilation as recommended by Covid-19 guidelines by Govt, but we were told it is reserved for smoking, so no kids allowed outside. As I preferred to sit there we just went outside anyway, but were ignored for service and didn't get a menu for at least 20 minutes, so we left. Please ask Black Steer Lichtenburg if they take the right to smoke more serious than Covid-19? Why cant they least have 2 sections outside? PS. We are not anti-smoking fanatics and will readily share well-ventilated spaces with smokers
On Tuesday 24 September 2019 I used the ABSA atm at Zeerust P&P. My card got stuck and I phoned the help line on the spot, and my card was cancelled. I was informed that a new card would arrive within a week. On Thursday 26 I checked my balances and my CC account was charged a R140 lost card fee. I called the help line, and a very helpful lady took my call, who also spoke to her relevant supervisor. I was assured that my money would be refunded because it was the fault of the bank's ATM. Its now 30 September, I've received no notification of my new card and neither has the lost card fee been refunded. How can I be charged for a lost card if the bank ATM took it? Regards, Daan
I ordered 2 boat seat swivels from WaveInn in November 2018 through their website and transferred R572.85 into their account, which was confirmed on 17 November with the following: Hi Daniel, thank you for shopping at Tradeinn! We assure you that your order will receive our best attention. Please find below the details of your order. > Order number: ********** 5 Estimated delivery date: Estimated delivery date at your home between *Tue. 27 Nov. * and *Mon. 03 Dec. * (tracked delivery). After many inquiries I finally received an answer about the true state of affairs on 24 December, namely: Dear Daniel Buijs, Thank you for contacting us. Date Status of Shipment Country of Destination 19-12-2018 18:54 The consignment has arrived in the country of destination SOUTH AFRICA. Please note that your parcel is in customs and as this parcel is in customs it may take up to 6 weeks to release the parcel sometime more then that, this is customs procedure of ZA and we cannot intervene in that. I have been renovating a fishing boat and my nephew came to visit for the Christmas holidays and we planned a to do a lot of bass fishing. WaveInn's predicted delivery date of 3 December and their subsequent non-delivery has caused a serious inconvenience because we have been limited to fishing from the banks in shallow water instead of the deep water where bass keep when it is hot because I couldn't install the seats. Kind Regards Daan Buijs
I took the trouble to renew my cell contract on Black Friday at MTN Mahikeng. Chose a contract of 300 minutes airtime and 5.5 GB data for R499. Their computer system was down, so I eventually left and returned in afternoon, system still down. I signed all the forms on 23 November 2018 and asked them to get everything sorted when they came online again and I would return on Monday to finalise. I live in Zeerust which is 70km from Mahikeng where my office is. When I got there on Monday 26 November, the contract suddenly was R699 because it was not on special anymore. I've lodged a complaint via the main MTN website, but have had not received a call from them as promised yesterday 26 November 2018.
