I asked my mother from Japan to send some documents I needed to apply for a visa for my spouse and child. The point was that I needed it fast, I expected to get it within 5 days and it took over a month! I was tracking it the whole time, it seemed to get stuck once it arrived in the country for about 2 weeks. In the end it said delivered when it was not delivered to me. Took a while after some phone calls to find out which post office it was at and I had to go pick it up myself. Will not ever use them again.
I ordered from this site about 2 years ago, I ordered a Game of Thrones Sword for about R9000? Maybe R10,000, I didn't have to pay customs or any additional fees when they delivered to my house, as customs and everything is all inclusive in the price. That I really like, cause most times I don't order things from abroad just because I don't know if the customs will be 50% of the cost of the item, or it will be like paying double, it gives me anxiety. They delivered after like a month, but I didn't mind as it did tell me the correct estimated delivery time. I would order from them again. I do notice their prices are a bit higher than other sites that import the same products, but that may not be a bad thing because there's no surprise custom fee!
I went to Carlton Hair in Sandton after my friend recommended me to go there. It was cheaper than the last hairdressers I used to go to so that was a plus, also they had a special on for hair colouring, and treatment. When I made a booking on the phone, I found the receptionist or whoever I spoke to was a bit careless as when I asked how long the whole appointment will take, she answered without knowing enough details about what I wanted to do with my hair, like if I wanted to just color it or get highlights as well-, etcetera. Now I didn't mind too much, I just don't like inaccurate and careless answers. When I went for my appointment, I told my hairstylist who was a nice woman that the last salon I went to had not quite gotten the color right in hopes that mentioning a past mistake would make her extra careful to not mess up my color. So I wanted black hair with brown tips like an ombre or balayage effect. I showed her several pictures of what shades exactly that I wanted from Pinterest on my phone. She then asked me to choose from those little hair sample booklet things the exact two shades that I wanted. So I chose jet black almost with caramel brown. In the end, my hair was dyed just all black. Whatever color she applied to the ends or lower half of my hair was the exact damn shade as the black color above. I'm a little shy so, I just mentioned it several times to the stylist alone and then at the cashier, where about 4 women insisted that they could see black AND brown. Obviously they were just trying to make it like I'm blind or something. Anyway I was disappointed, at least I got a special price and I enjoyed the hair treatment and overall service. But what I really came in for was to get a nice ombre look and I didn't get that. I just thought that it's odd that they are such a big name and they couldn't get a simple hair dying right. Like my hair was ash blonde before, so to dye it two darker colors should be easy? I'm not going back again, this just makes me really wary to go anywhere .
