I have now bought two items from them which I am not happy with and my e-mails to admin just gets ignored. Pathetic after sales service
I have sent two mails and tried to call numerous times about my refund. My flights was cancelled and I cannot go to George anymore. They tell you no cancellation fees, but how do you get your money refunded if they do not reply on your mails? My booking is for 1/7/20, are they waiting for the date to pass and then tell me it is too late for a refund?
Pathetic service at the call center. I made at least 3 calls that lasted more that 30 minutes each. I was promised a call back, still nothing two days later!! Then I went to the branch to update my profile because at least one person realized that is why I have issues. I was told to phone and obtain a new link to finalize my application. Two calls of more than 45 minutes, still no help. The last call started good with them telling me you need the sales department, then I was put on hold after 16 minutes the call was forwarded to the wrong department (credit limit queries), then they actually sent me to the sales department only to be told, no we cannot help, another dead end. She tried to forward my call and gave me a contact number if I cannot hold any longer. So the call could not be forwarded, because the line is busy - apparently they do not have a queue system there. So I was told to phone them later myself. Guess what, those numbers does not work AT ALL. I see extreme difficulty for every Standard bank customer that, when all these branches close to get any help at the call center whatsoever. They already can not handle the call volumes, and the branches are still open!!
They offer very good prices for a flight but do not give you a proper warning about all the extra costs you will encounter (amounting to more than the actual price difference) and also the time constraint on the flights. And then when you want to make a change to the booking they tell you nothing can be changed you must make a new booking or stick with what you have and ensure that you make haste when arriving at the airport as if you have control over the time to wait for your suitcases, customs and trains. This is extremely bad service
