I cannot deal with this. I tried closing my fnb global account, people failed to do that , closed all my accounts except global. Now I get messages the accounts overdrawn. I've tried from 3 different accounts to deposit money. I have sent my dad to the bank . And as always theres no simple solution. They telling my dad I need to open a new account just to pay money into the account. The only reason I still have it is because FNB couldn't close it over the usd that was in the account. Now Ive tried putting R200 in but no money can be paid in. Its pathetic how difficult it is to get things done. How am I supposed to sort this out from Bangkok.
Months ago they stopped taking money off my account. I've been paying manually since. Your auto reply system is dense . As no one ever answers me. I go told I need to update my account details, they haven't changed, firstly. Secondly if you do effort to actually check my account I've paid over R3000 this month. So please could you do your job check and fix my account im sick of paying manual every month. Do better
This bank does my head in . I paid money in from abroad. For some stupid reason it went straight into my current account and not my isd account. Now I never changed my swift details on my international bank. Now to put it back in my USD account its tax pins and **** and extra fees. Then I can't even use this usd account for transactions. This bank is stupid and pathetic. Even when I wanted to book my plane tickets its wasn't working, couldn't use the lounge key because I didn't spend enough. How stupid is this system .
So a few days ago I complained about the USD account that isn't functioning for transactions. Low and behold today I tried generating a lounge ticket for an international flight, and guess what? I get a message saying card no eligible. So why do I have this account . FNB I get free visits etc. Your forex account and service in general is weak and pathetic . Just in this week I got a response saying they will look into the problem.... nothing was done. I tried using froex to transfer money to my FNB forex account. It diverts my payment to go through my transactional account . On 2 occasions I have paid and none have cleared into my FNB forex account . The R400 is still pending. You have the worst banking experience i have ever come across. I wouldn't recommend you to anyone. It's just too much effort to switch banks again from abroad.
How ..... how How is it possible that my global/forex account is linked to my transaction account. I try do transfers to another forex account but I can't select the account it's only my credit and transactional account available. Last time I tried paying from my transactional account to my fnb global and it didn't clear. You guys promise best bank bla bla bla you are *******. Why can't my forex account be an independent account? Be better Discovery is the worst bank in this country. I still can't book a lounge visit despite all my spending. It's why I went back to FNB GLOBAL. Because Discovery is useless......
I tried to book or generate a ticket for a lounge, I cannot, despite spending 41k over November and December I haven't spent enough money to qualify according to these people who enjoy ripping people off. I cannot gain points to play for discovery because I am saving too but you don't get squat for saving. They forex card doesn't count as a Lounge key which is why I went for it. As FNB you get 10 free lounge visits a year, without having to generate a ticket or having to spend a certain amount of money. Discovery's Forex account is a joke, also they don't take foreign income into consideration. I regret leaving FNB's forex account and I think I will head back. I cant deal with this backwards thinking bank. Also with their emirates and partnered flight tickets, you get it cheaper online without going through FNB. Other 3rd party apps give it to you cheaper. e.g Got cheaper flights on another app than I did going through discovery. So not really saving much, feels like the marketing and information isn't as true as it comes across. Gutted about this as I thought they were a good bank. The health section/insurance sections are great but I feel if you not linking bank with those 2 you losing, the banking sections just makes things look great but they arent.
This bank has caused me more hassles in 4 months with them, than I ever had with FNB. The credit card process is a joke. I send all my documents and list of expenses and get turned down even though there's clearly enough availability of money. They don't check the documents or expenses if they did they would have noticed. Also their forex account is absolutely terrible.... need to generate a lounge ticket, which also doesn't work if you don't spend enough money.... so I am witb a bank that earns you no discovery miles for saving only spending. And you can't use a airport lounge if you only save but don't spend. The interest rate is supposed to change based on savings etc. But stays the same because in discovery bank if you don't spend the bank isn't beneficial to you at all. What's the point of a bank if there's no beneficial gains for saving. I regret this move very much.
So I just saw my bank being -1550 in debt .... at what point does policy kick in of my debt protection kick in .... I mean I was promised when I can't pay they would kick in and help. For 2 months I haven't touched my account and I just built up debt. So FNB is one of those banks who sell lies . The policies are **** and they make you pay for it. So soon I will close all accounts with you because you dishonest and chase money and client satisfaction is the lowest priority on your list.
So I went into a the bank to close my accounts. I was on the phone saying they going to close my credit card account . Well surprise FNB did it again my account is still open a week later. I paid over the given amount and got told within 24 hours the account will close . Now amounts are coming off still but the account should be closed. Your service is terrible and that's why I'm changing banks your service is pathetic.
wish I never joined vodacom. For a company that loves double charging me a few months your service is sloppy, it's the second of May you have still not debited my money off my accountant, plus I can't even use your app because when I pay it comes off 2 weeks later . Meaning double payments as somehow your app is written in such a way that it's most flawed thing ever as it doesn't detect pending payments. So could you please start doing your job correctly and deducting on time on the 29th of every month as per the contract because I like everything to come off as planned so that I can plan the rest of my month. Be better please. Thank you.
