Vox has been marketing new fibre connections in Carletonville since May 2021. I applied for a connection on the 17th May and was speedily assisted with the order. On the 7th June, Frogfoot sent out a technical crew to extend the fibre connection into my home. I was suitably impressed with the quick work. Unfortunately this is where it all stopped. I have steadfastly and respectfully sent out requests since June on a monthly basis to get a straight answer from Vox on when I my connection will go live. I have been given the same sms answer since June which states: "The fibre line installation is complete, the Frogfoot is experiencing difficulties in getting the service up. They are attending to the problem." This simply is not acceptable anymore. I work for a consulting firm with a home office, that requires a stable and fast Internet environment. Please help me Vox, It has been four months and you are still merely attending to the problem?! Hope to hear from you
For over 20 years I have been a good client of Mooirivier Makelaars who advised me to specify the expensive laptop and diligently paid a surcharge on top of my premium to specify my expensive Apple MacBook Pro, sold to me by Mooirivier Makelaars in Potchefstroom. I guess no good deed goes unpunished. After work on a Friday afternoon on my way home, I stopped to buy magazines for my elderly mom. I am quite diligent when locking my car these days. Wo wouldn't? When I arrived back at my car 5 minutes later, my laptop bag was gone. Nothing broken - just somehow, my laptop had disappeared from my car. After I have followed Mooirivier Brokers principal agent's advice word by word (I phoned her immediately after it happened) and arrived back home after 20:00 in the night, I was contacted a week later by an, as yet unnamed gentleman's office (assessor I assume) to be available within 10 minutes of them phoning when he would be in my vicinity. I work in the second largest city in South Africa. Nevertheless, I am sure any businessman would be able to fall in with these requirements... Ironically, I was requested to send them a few photos of my car - I had taken myself - after 2 failed attempts to show him my undamaged 7 year old car. I am dead sure he was paid for an assessment I had done for him. Interestingly, after only a few days of lodging the claim, the first I might add in years, I was sent a new policy upon which my specified Apple MacBook Pro was struck off - unilaterally by the Insurers. What is inspiringly ironic, is that I have just been informed (I received a personal phone call) by Mooirivier Brokers' principal agent that my claim will not be paid - because - MY CAR CANNOT GET JAMMED and wait - it has no visible signs of being broken into. Now I am made the liar and guess what? The thief got away with over R 60 000.00 worth of my hard-earned stuff and my, as of current, FORMER insurer and broker get away with years and years of premiums!! Embarrassing! Steer clear of Infinity and Moorivier Makelaars.
