The most unprofessional service and incompetent team!!! The are UNRELIABLE!!!!! When you complain they just state that you should get other insurance. They don't take responsibility and their client service can not even be measured.

For over 20 years I have been a good client of Mooirivier Makelaars who advised me to specify the expensive laptop and diligently paid a surcharge on top of my premium to specify my expensive Apple MacBook Pro, sold to me by Mooirivier Makelaars in Potchefstroom. I guess no good deed goes unpunished. After work on a Friday afternoon on my way home, I stopped to buy magazines for my elderly mom. I am quite diligent when locking my car these days. Wo wouldn't? When I arrived back at my car 5 minutes later, my laptop bag was gone. Nothing broken - just somehow, my laptop had disappeared from my car. After I have followed Mooirivier Brokers principal agent's advice word by word (I phoned her immediately after it happened) and arrived back home after 20:00 in the night, I was contacted a week later by an, as yet unnamed gentleman's office (assessor I assume) to be available within 10 minutes of them phoning when he would be in my vicinity. I work in the second largest city in South Africa. Nevertheless, I am sure any businessman would be able to fall in with these requirements... Ironically, I was requested to send them a few photos of my car - I had taken myself - after 2 failed attempts to show him my undamaged 7 year old car. I am dead sure he was paid for an assessment I had done for him. Interestingly, after only a few days of lodging the claim, the first I might add in years, I was sent a new policy upon which my specified Apple MacBook Pro was struck off - unilaterally by the Insurers. What is inspiringly ironic, is that I have just been informed (I received a personal phone call) by Mooirivier Brokers' principal agent that my claim will not be paid - because - MY CAR CANNOT GET JAMMED and wait - it has no visible signs of being broken into. Now I am made the liar and guess what? The thief got away with over R 60 000.00 worth of my hard-earned stuff and my, as of current, FORMER insurer and broker get away with years and years of premiums!! Embarrassing! Steer clear of Infinity and Moorivier Makelaars.

On the 11th September while driving in Brits,a car bumped into me damaging my car..We reported the accident along with the driver and we were provided with the accident report whereby the other driver admitted to causing the accident. He gave me his insurance details and I started communicating with Mooirivier Insurance.I furnished them with all the documents they required .Including the affidavit confirming that my insurance doesnt cover accident damage.Up to this day my car hasnt been fixed because instead of fixing my car,the referred the account to their lawyers who claimed that: I am the one who caused the accident(I gave them the accident report to dispute that) They claim that I lied on the affidavit saying I dont have insurance (provided proof from Miway, confirming my insurance doesnt cover accident damage) They looked for every loophole and found nothing else they could pin on me,they are quiet now...where do I go next..Ombudsman or Civil court??

We had a 3rd party claim and unfortunately after more than 10 years with Mooirivier Makelaars the after service is a disgrace. My husband had to take the car to Potchefstroom to be fixed on his own cost, we live in Pretoria. He had to pay the co payment before he can get the car back. What kind of service is that?? Pay for a 3rd party claim and do not have the convenience to fix the car near our home. I am so dissapointed.

December 2016 I was in an accident with my car, rear-ended by a taxi.

I immediately made my insurance company aware of this fact.

I submitted the claim and they informed me that it will be fixed in January 2017.

I took the car to the panel beaters (F&H Panel beaters) they suggested to me the Monday and I made them aware of the fact that I can only give it to them for a week since I don't have any other forms of transport.

By the Thursday afternoon after many follow-up calls to them they informed me that they do not have the parts. I was not happy about this since they should have been aware of the fact that they don't have the parts before they received my car.

I called Mooirivier Makelaars and informed them of this.

I again had to arrange to drop my car off with them the following week. The panel beaters mentioned that they will only need it for one day. In the end my car stayed there for two days. Even when they came to pick me up they kept me waiting for almost an hour by the side of the road.

Once I got my car back I noticed that they didn’t replace the exhaust which they quoted for and the old exhaust was melting a hole in my bumper. I also noticed that the back door and bumper was totally misaligned. My car also had trouble starting and when I called the panel beaters they said that nothing they did to the battery could have damaged it. I took it to Supaquick they confirmed verbally and via e-mail that the battery cells were damaged by over/under charging and I had to replace it.

Again I made Mooirivier aware of this. I still have not received any feedback whatsoever even after calling them twice to remind them of the matter. They have however arranged for my car to go in but the Panel beater keep on e-mailing me to make an appointment with me. I very rarely check my personal e-mail but not once he has called me to make an appointment or discuss a convenient time with me to take my car in again.

I have multiple time try and follow up with Mooirivier and every time they promise to come back to me but they rarely do. The calls I do get from them they are not friendly and accommodating at all. The one lady that I did speak with who tried to help me is forever busy and I am unable to get hold of her again.

We are insured with mooirivier makelaars since 2003. From 2010 we had bad luck a break in, water damage, fire, house break in and people bumping my car twice. So yes we have been claiming as that is why we pay insurance. With the fire damage our broker with their independent assessor chose a contractor which did a bad job. I indicated to the assessor that I am not happy and his reaction was like we will see with our next claim what will happen. This was in 2014. I never thought they would do what they did. The contractor left chips on our toilet and bath in both bathrooms. I also informed the owner of the insurance company whilst we were together at a golf sponsored by them tournament. All she said was "O you were the client who had a fire at their house". Then I left it there and now I regret. Now we had a very traumatic break in the same "independent" assessor came to our house looking very disinterested took a look around and left. Next day we get a letter stating that we are cancelled as clients. I was at first very angry and dissapointed as they could have warned us. As they see us now as a high risk client. All though law allows them to this is just inhuman. We had a break in and I was really and still is very traumatised as we were in the house when it happened. I had to go to Dr for calming pills just to add to the trauma there comes mooirivier makelaars with the cancellation letter. I cried and was in disbelief then I thought let me get other insurance as this was not the first conflict with mooirivier... Just to find after their cancellation almost nobody wants to insure us. I have spoken to so many people who warned me about Potchefstroom mooirivier makelaars but I really thought they were exaggerating and also those who said they left them.... I now regret as I know there are people claiming more than us and they give preferential treatment. Also given some of our friends Mr price vouchers to replace their clothes even though they have expensive clothes. So yes learn my lesson. I don't even want them to reply as they will just say this is normal accepted procedure. Advice to Potchefstroom mooirivier makelaars

A broker is not independent if you use the same one over and I er again and they even have attitude with your clients and now I bear the brunt of it

Warn your clients that they are close to high risk status then we can decide not to claim

Also when you work out how much we contributed to the scheme vs the sound you spend please add accrued interest you gained from us and also those we referred to you_which I will never do again

Also don't make as if you have a personal touch as U don't otherwise you would have advised us no to claim even though we were victims.

Also keep In mind that for the car accidents your clients make you calm back from the perpetrator and then take if odd your clients profile as you got the money back. And yes if our case I know you are still waiting

Don't appoint ****py contractors who damage your clients property and when client complains the assessor becomes angry and promised revenge I just regret not complaining in writing and the boss also reacting as if you were wrong to complain.

And to future clients Never never insure with mooirivier makelaars Potchefstroom

I was for 14 years a client on mooirivier makelaars in vanderbijlpark. Every month I pay my insurance on time. Last year there were a brake in at my house. The alarm system was not on because the previous weekend my dogs were in a fight and the smallest one was rip open and we let her to stay in the house. I explain that to them but they say that they will not replace the things that was stolen. For me that is not exaptable was for 14 years a client that pay my insurance on time not claiming for this and that but the one time that I need them the just say no. I went to the ombudsman also but they are just as useless as infinity(mooi rivier makelaars). I only ask them to pay out R40 000 for the things that was stolen, and if you work out I pay over R800 a month for 14 years it is more then R40 000. To all please thing if you have any insurance at this people they will promise you they will help you but the moment you ask them to help they got this excuse and this is not right. NOT HAPPY WITH THEM !!!
