#BlackFriday I was sent a parcel from overseas using SAPO. I was given a phone number to call to track the parcel once it arrived in South Africa. I called the number to be told that it was with customs. The next day I received a SMS that I needed to pay money to release the package from customs. I called the phone number back that I used, only to be told that it was a **** and not to pay any money. If I needed to pay it would be done at my local post office at the time of collection. I would receive a SMS when the package was at my loca PO. Lesson learnt is that it seems that there is a syndicate that works with the customs department. They had my phone number to send the SMS. It is too coinciendental that I received a SMS the day after my package went to customs Once you pay this ****, then the ****mers can access your bank or start putting on *****ulent charges. The police need to set up a sting to investigate the SAPO customs department.
#BlackFriday For the past three days, I have tried to log into the ehomeaffairs website to apply (not renew) for a new passport. I have more than 6 months of validity but wanted to do it now since a passport must have more than 6 months validity when you fly to many countries. Day 1 I was in the middle of filling out the application when the website crashed with the whirling circle. I then got an error that the website wasn't responding due to congestion ie their system can't cop with demand. Day 1 night I tried again but it showed that the "system was offline." Day 2 I tried again during the day, but the page wouldn't even advance from entering my credentials to sending me the OTP. Day 3 I tried after 9pm and was able to access the website and start the application process. However after filling in the application, I then proceeded to the payment section only to told that I needed to pay a R600 penalty fee on top of the R600 for the new passport ie they wanted to bill me R1200! There was no explanation about this penatly on the website, so I had to Google it to find out that if you try to apply for a new passport when your existing passport has more than 6 months of life on it, then you have to pay a R600 penalty. I mean how ridiculous. This website is dysfunctional When you try to call the contact number you get a message that the number is not working. I read that with South African passports you don't renew your passport but you have apply for a new passport from scratch. The DHA need to fix their systems!
Ordered a hair product online for my wife on a Saturday and she received it on the Monday. She was very pleased. The thank you note contained was appreciated and the packaging was second to none. Well done guys and my wife will be ordering more products soon.
Please tell PnP at Fourways Mall, to open up more tills! I was there earlier and only two of the 12 available were open! You'd think that with the hundreds of thousands of unemployed people in SA, that EVERY till should be manned. Also, would they PLEASE update the isle signs. The revamp was dones months ago, but the signs are still the old ones! Finally, I don't know why supermarkets don't have a directory system at the entrance for when you walk in, so that you can easily find the isle to walk to!
Such an annoying experience trying to get my new oven combo delivered. I arranged for the delivery on Tuesday 23rd. I called Hirsch's twice during the day to confirm that it was being delivered as it meant having to spend the day at home. Both times I was assured that the delivery was arranged. By late afternoon there was no delivery. Was then told that the delivery was the next day ie Heritage Day. It would be made first priority for delivery before 11am since I had already wasted a day for nothing. Now after repeated phone calls to Hirsch with promises to contact the driver to find out the situation there has been ZERO response. Finally my wife gets a call that they are on their way. They need to sort out their Logistics problems as broken delivery promises are not good customer service. Wasting almost two days for a delivery, when I was supposed to enjoy the Heritage holday is not appreciated. The sales part of the experience was a delight but he delivery has been a frustrating experience.
I was sent a Registered letter from overseas but it was sent back because Postnet said they only keep it for 3 months. However I was in Postnet 1.5 months before and there was no collection slip for this item. As we seldom use normal mail anymore I can't afford to keep going regularly anymore to check my box. To help we customers, I asked for a SMS to be sent to me when a registered letter is received but I was told "no" they don't offer that service. This would provide a safety net if they don't put a note in my box that there was a registered item waiting for me. How much does a SMS cost to provide good service.
Fantastic experience and delicious food. I wanted an authentic Cape Malay chicken curry and this restaurant didn't disappoint. The view out of the resturant's windows and verandah was absolutely spectacular. Don't miss out eating here on your next stay in Cape Town
Ordered online at 6.30am for some urgent tools. Two hours later I get an email saying "Great news! Your order is scheduled for delivery today 2025-02-12 between 8am – 6pm" I thought ok I need to take the day off. 5.30 comes around and no news on the delivery so I call the customer service. On hold for 5 minutes. Lady on the phone told me my order was coming from Rivonia. She asked for my cell number in case we got cut off. She put me on hold and tried to call Rivonia but couldn't get a hold of anyone. Comes back to me saying she will try again. Call drops. I wait but she doesn't call back. 6pm comes and goes with NO communication. CS is now CLOSED. How convenient!!!! It's just gone 7pm and still NOTHING. I have taken the WHOLE DAY OFF. Disgusting customer service. Saying they will deliver but did not bother. I cannot take ANOTHER DAY OFF. How can Builders Warehouse treat a customer like this! GET ANOTHER COURIER COMPANY BECAUSE WHOEVER YOU USE IS LETTING YOU DOWN
Cannot stop multiple SMS from coffee club or pet club. Why can't I stop the SMS sent to my phnoe from your website! If you call the customer service number one doesn't know what number to press as there isn't a choice to stop the SMS. So far two people on this site have responded to my complaint and then closed my case but the SMS continue. Why does PnP make this such a painful process. Do NOT subscribe to a PnP club as they keep sending you these pesky SMS. If you block the number then guess what they use a new number. VERY FRUSTRATING
