On the website Air Mauritius says they will refund you for cancellation under certain reasonable cancellation circumstances. However, when cancelling flights 2 months in advance they refused to refund me. I paid 2 tickets, totaling R28 000. That's after tax money gone, because and air line is being unreasonable. How I have to go through the hassle of rating them bad on all possible media websites and sending the legal letters. What a waste of time.
Honeymoon booked 26th June 2023 for 18 September – 24 September 2023 . Had to cancel 2 months prior (14 July 2023) to departing due to unforeseen circumstances. Only terms stated on Flights Centre Invoice was: “If cancelled on or after 18 Jul 2023, a cancellation charge of ZAR 38,449.00 will apply”. I cancelled 14 July 2023and now they come with penalties and no refunds. Its cancelled 2 months in advance so it needs to be refunded. Now I will have to take legal action either with Flights Centre and/or World Leisure Holidays. Let me not leave out Air Mauritius who also wont refund me a cent for cancelling more than 2 months in advance. Somebody needs to do something to protect the customers.
I signed a 2 year Data Contract with Telkom. The service never worked and no one would come out to fix it, and penalties to cancel was enormous. I never got 1 MB. But for 2 years I waited it out until April 2019 when it expired. Telkom phoned me to notify that my contract is expiring and asked if I would like to extend. I said NO. They continued to deduct money monthly, which I reversed each time, assuming their admin is slow to catch up. Today I got a call from a debit collecting company (DEBT-IN) threatening to effect my credit score at ITC negatively if I dont pay 4 months plus interest and penalties. Apparently its Telkom policy that I need to send them a letter to cancel - after they have a recorded conversation where I explicit said they should cancel my contract. How can they get away with this? This bullying, taking money and threatening consumers. Why are they trying to catch people out? Can someone from Telkom please assist me. I do not understand.
