We were returning home from a holiday in Balito and decided to grab a burger at the Wimpy in King Shaka Airport Domestic departure lounge, what a mistake. When the food arrived it was cold but I decided to eat my burger because we were short of time. My wife took hers to the counter and asked for it to be warmed up but they said they would make a fresh one. We waited a while and I finished my rather unappetizing meal and we finished our coffee and still no food arrived for my wife. During this time we were unable to attract the attention of the waiters until finally a supervisor asked if were okay. We told him what had happened and we went to the counter to pay for what we had as it was time to board our flight and our waitress Nelly asked my wife who had served us. It was you my wife told her but Nelly denied it and she and the supervisor started arguing in their own language. All this time we weren't offered an apology and my wife never got any food until we reached home. Some hours later, because of the pandemic food was not available on the aircraft. What a disappointing end to our holiday.
Bought some grass fed meat, Raw milk, Free range chicken and eggs. Wonderful to get healthy food for change. Had the burgers for supper probably the best I ever tasted. Keep up the good work guys.
This is the best PO I have been to, the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The only gripe I have is they are sometimes off-line and this causes time wasting but I think this is more to do with their lack of support than any fault of theirs.
I would like to thank the maintenance dept. of Pat Hinde Springs for their help. My wife and I were on our way to Margate and we broke down just outside Springs. We were towed in to the workshop and they pulled out all the stops to get us back on the road. Meanwhile we sat in their waiting room drinking their coffee and chatting to their friendly staff. They quickly found the fault -the filling station had pumped petrol contaminated with water into the fuel tank - and the mechanics drained the tank and got the engine started and we were back on the road. Thanks again Pat Hinde you gave us great service.
