When I wrote my first review the company was still named Brands Unlimited. I want to warn others about ordering from Brands SA, since we cannot place reviews on their Facebook page. I placed an order on 26 February along with full payment. On 31 March, we requested a refund (after WE had to call numerous times, send emails, and send WhatsApps) due to the company being unable to provide an ETA on stock. To date, we have called them via their landline 39 times (6 May). That's not including our attempts at making contact on Facebook, WhatsApp messages to their business account, or the intially very polite emails we have sent. We have never received an apology or proper response. On 26 April we were finally promised the refund and told we would receive the proof of payment. We have still not received any proof of payment, our emails (to info, sales and support) are being ignored, WhatsApps are ignored and when we call they pick up the phone but don't speak to us. Absolutely appalling service from a company portraying such a luxurious lifestyle! BEWARE and don't fall into the same trap we did! Before placing this review I contacted them AGAIN via Facebook and email and I still have no response. They take the time to delete my comments on their posts warning others, but do not take the time to follow up with me (9 May). I will update the review when I receive my refund for order #22956.
I ordered an item which was advertised on the website. After a confirmation email and a lot of time passing, we had to try to reach them. Called over 20 times with no answer and eventually spoke to someone who referred us to a WhatsApp number. The person via WhatsApp arranged for me to receive an email indicating they did not know when they would have stock and asked whether I would be willing to wait. I agreed to wait for another 3 weeks and if there was still no ETA, I indicated that I wanted a refund. We followed up on WhatsApp and per email, but I never received an answer. No product and they still have my money - seems like a classic scam to me!
I ordered a dress and paid in full a year ago (2019). I received an invoice and she even helped me choose from the available colours to speed up the process. A week later, she dropped off the grid. No answer on phone calls, SMSs, WhatsApps, FB, nothing. Be careful - she has disappeared with a LOT of peoples' money!
I have ordered from Evetech twice - a laptop in 2018 and recently, a monitor in the middle of SA's national lockdown. Although delivery took more than a week, with all things considered, I am satisfied with their service. Delivery on the laptop in 2018 took 2 working days (4 in total) and the monitor took 7 working days (11 in total) to be delivered. With the laptop I had issues with software. They were eager to assist - though I had to reach a solution through a friend. I received the monitor a few hours ago, and so far so good!
