Went to collect my ID and passport today . Staff worked efficiently and were warm and friendly to not just me but everyone I saw there this morning. 10/10 would recommend this branch. Special shout out to Ms Nondumiso Sosibo who assisted me today. Brilliant staff, including the branch manager !
Brilliant staff ! From the staff working inside the convenience store to the petrol attendants. 10/10 group of employees ! Well trained. ALWAYS friendly. They are always clean and presentable for work and the garage is also always spotless ! Customer service really goes a long way. I refuse to fill up my tank anywhere else but Astron Energy in Umkomaas KZN.
This would have been a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the man operating the camera and capturing biometrics at this office , I dealt with 3 people Mr Msani Mr Cele Mrs Otto Mr Msani, I think, was the one operating the camera and capturing prints at the 1st point of contact in this office. What a horribly rude & ill mannered man ! Public servant that acts as if he’s doing the community a favour . I watched him berate a 1st time ID applicant (the boy couldn’t have been older than 17) . This man was incredibly aggressive and practically man-handled the boy when he was a little confused (rightfully so, it was his 1st time at home affairs) about placing 4 fingers on the scanner to be captured by DoHA. I watched this man the entire morning be on his phone. I initially gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe it’s a work phone and he’s doing work things on it. However , when it was my turn to take a picture and capture fingerprints, I got a chance to stand closer to him and was furious to see that he was on Facebook watching sport reels ! Him mannerisms in a customer facing role leave a lot to be desired for ! He was not courteous at all with any of the people he was servicing. Horrible ! I shared my experience with TWO people who recently used the ScottBurgh District Office Home Affairs and they reported the same thing about this camera guy ! Please do something about him. He needs extensive training ! He’s not doing anyone any favours here. This is the smallest amount of power I’ve ever seen go to someone’s head ! After I had taken a picture for my passport and new ID, I was then moved to another line and that’s where I dealt with who I assume is Mr Cele. The brother was warm & welcoming . Well mannered and he was very efficient in executing his duties. I was then directed to the cashier (Mrs Otto) ; who was also very lovely, efficient and friendly. These last 2 home affairs employees really did an amazing job today , not just with me but with other community members who were there. Excellent ! Please keep it up ! Your good work is being recognised by the communities you serve. We thank you.
Horrible service ! The staff needs serious training. You’ll speak to 5 different people and get 5 different answers. No internet for 2 days and counting due to a technical error on their end. How can such a big company have issues with debiting their customers as agreed !? I was on hold for hours and remained caller number 11 until I gave up ! It’s almost as if 1 agent is working , I cannot begin to explain the amount of time and money wasted. Save yourself the trouble and don’t sign up for this service if you’re looking for an ISP. This company is only interested in making the sale but not in keeping the customer happy and fulfilling agreements, resolving disputes, etc. I wasn’t even given a ref number to show that the issue had been logged on the system . They will just tell you a million stories .
Excellent service. I signed up at around 11AM and I was connected by 4PM. Friendly and efficient staff. 10/10 would highly recommend.
