Ive made various bookings and got lucky rgat everything was on the level. My most recent experience (being today) was quite alarming. I've been trying to report a **** company at which I made a booking and there's no complaints line. For my sake, i fortunately come from the town of the place I made a booking and took a drive to check the facilities. Thete was nothing there but bush and rocks. I cancelled immediately and have been trying to alert booking.com since. I wonder exactly wgat screening process they go through! Anyway, please don't tey and book online at Cooke's Lake in Mafikeng. The place has been closed down for decades but still active on booking.com
I bought a brand new fridge which is currently one of the most hated purchases I've ever made. It's a leaking DEFY with a missing part. It had glitches from the first day. I bought it from Western Furnitures, Mogoditshane, Gaborone. I notified the store, assistant area manager and area managers (Chidzani, Kenneth and even Samy was included in correspondence) and they've literally passed me off to the local DEFY... Who still haven't called. The store either don't have or refused to give me their ts and cs. I believe it's to ensure they always have the advantage over customers. As for Defy, I'm truly disappointed that you would allow certain businesses to sell your products, in the process ruin your brand name.

If there was a minus 1 option, that would be my choice. The service through all channels is pathetic! I lodged a complaint via email, editing, contact centre and I've received no responses except auto messages saying I owe them money! It's not an issue of people not wanting to comply and pay tax, but rather the taxman expecting me to chase around after him.
Definitely bucket list material! The staff are superb, the food is lucious and with gigantic portions (not for the diet based holiday); the aesthetics and so comforting even for anyone who isn't in the Merilyn generation. There is a nostalgic sense and cozy vibe which emanates in everything around you. We went there for lunch, and then drove 80km to go back again the next day for dinner.
I'm not really sure if it's discovery cars (my contract was from that company); Kennings Truck and Hire PE (their displays had that on them) or Green Motion (Business cars, stickers and online Ad. I'm sure you can understand my concern when I got to the airport and didn't find an office. When I called the number, some guy frOm somewhere popped around with the car (I will include names on the follow-up to this review). They apparently don't have offices at the airport even though they advertise that they do. They also wanted me to sign a blank contract out of my trust for them. Unfortunate for them, I'm South African and particularly untrusting so I refused to sign. They allowed me to leave with the car but swiped for an sizeable deposit as security. Upon returning the car, they claimed that they could not process the deposit reversal. As I was clearly upset, the 'guy' casually told me (I'm convinced it was out of spite as I was very vocal) that the reversal will take up to 30 days. To them, this is normal apparently. He then, WITHOUT MY CONCENT, withdrew 1 cent from the account and when I asked why, he said it would help speed up the process. the deposit has been held and pending since the 22nd December 2022. I have reported the incident to my bank, however they don't seem concerned as I've heard nothing from FNB as well. I wonder what happens to all the 1 cent withdrawals they take from each client and get away with it? Word of advice, please don't sign anything in a parking lot and definitely don't hand your bank card over to anyone even if their in clean uniform! And look for any other car rental besides the three names as listed in PE. I've used 3 of the ones offered at the airport (with actual offices) Including First, Avis and Budget. Absolutely no complaints there. Good luck and definitely visit Tsitsikamma (the whole experience) if you go down to the Eastern Cape.
I think SI dropped the ball and is still under the impression there's no competition out there. The one thing that still baffles me is over a year later and through a revamp, CC hotel still tells customers to run bathtubs full of water before you manage to take a warm bath or shower. With the current water shortage in the country, this cannot be happening. It's inexcusable. As for HO and their invites, let it go. It's become a joke with the invites that amount to nothing. I can't say it any better than the reviews I've seen. Keep it up SI. Let's see where the industry takes you, I'm done with all your hotels.
