Ordered alcohol, during black Friday, for a function thats on the 16th December, with Makro. They sent Value as the trusted courier! Instead of delivering 7 boxes, they only delivered 1. I was not home to talk to the delivering driver but when I called their line to talk to a consultant, some Afrikaans speaking man answered the phone after 6 min of being on hold, he then put me on hold again after just greeting me. I hung up after a total of 10 min! At this point, I have no hope. The function is next week, what am I supposed to do? They have had ample time to rectify but you'll get nothing from them!!!
Claimed via Pinapple Insurance. Phone was couriered and they had my phone for a week and a half with constant updates of how far they were with the repair. They had to order parts and made a snappy repair. Very satisfied with Nkele, Palesa and the rest if the team. Heck, I was around the area so I walked to collect my phone and while I waited for the phone to charge, I got a great cup of coffee!
Everyday, its a call that automatically hangs up after 35 min of your wasted airtime, every day they "escalate the matter e-mail", everyday they understand our frustration and say "sorry to hear that", everyday ke everyday!
Great value but the slowest, most sluggish network connection ever! Whenever you have to do something on the internet, it's very slow, but move on to their payment section and see your 4G(LTE), that has been as slow as GPRS (506Kbps), turn into 5G (62Mbps or faster!)... why are they so quick to take our money but provide the slowest internet connection?!
Online delivery service is the worst!!! I have been waiting for delivery since the package was packed on the 30th of April 2020. I bought a couple of things from Makro online back in April. The order was split into 2. I have received the first part of the order and I am still waiting for the second part of the order. I have called multiple times and I am always told that the matter has been escalated to the online store manager and that my query would be attended soon enough. The consultants also show some form of remorse, saying "The package is passed its turnover time" and best believe nothing happens. I have sent countless emails and now they have blocked me from sending any more. Seeing that the delivery is null, I asked if I could collect my package. The consultant said a request had been logged. I still did not get any communication about my package. I called again on the 25th of June and Katlego Mokoatle sent me an email on the 26th of June 2020 assuring me that something will be done and still I have not received any communication of any sort. Today is the 3rd of July, I am still in the dark regarding my package. I am thinking of taking legal action. I have been given the go around for too long! *In-between that same time frame, I have ordered 2 items from Take-a-lot in separate baskets, the packages have arrived! Makro is dissapointing
I have gotten bad advice from Potchefstroom Vodacom Technicians. Huawei had a promotion of repairing phone screens and i took it to a Vodacom shop as the promotion directed. The technician said the phones frame was bent so they would have to straighten it before doing screen repairs, meaning the repair would cost extra. I left the store. A month later Huawei had another promotion for screen and battery replacement, I took the phone to Huawei in Melrose Arch and they repaid the phone without any hesitation! Now, recently, I have a Gear Fit2 Pro for almost a year. The strap broke before the lockdown so I put the watch away. When e-commerce resumed, I bought a new strap and fitted it. I tried turning the watch on and the screen shows a 'Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro' and that's it. I tried rebooting and nothing happened. I reached Samsung chat and they advised me to take the watch to a service centre. The same Vodacom was identified as a service station and I took the watch in. The technician told me the watch cannot be booked for service and the warranty has been voided because the strap is not original and the watch has a scratch on the frame. I asked her how the software could be affected by a dent, she said it was in the warranty booklet. I didn't have the box with me so I searched online and it turns out, changing the strap does not void the warranty and I don't think a dent could affect software. Your Technicians are quick to turn a person away, I don't want to label them lazy!

I have been trying to close my moms account for 2 weeks now and everytime I come here, they call head office for finances but the telephone lines are not answered. The account keeps accumulating interest and we have to pay at the end of the day. Its frustrating!!!
