I'm writing this review out of heartache seeing my mother now drinking medication to deal with her mental health. Alison Vuyiswa Bambiso took out a retirement policy with Old Mutual years back. She's now at the age where she can withdraw/claim her retirement funds according to the contract she signed with old mutual and the new OLD Mutual policies and methods of operations they never shared or informed my Alison. Alison made her Claim on the 15th December 2025, provided all requested documents from her. This was done at the KNYSNA WESTERN CAPE BRANCH. She was then told to expect her retirement funds to be paid into her account within 13 business days. January the 5th ,Alison received a sms from Old Mutual Confirming Payment.Alison waisted patiently until day 13 which was in January 2026 on the 12 still no money paid into her account. She went to the branch to do a follow up, the lady at the branch unwelcoming said "no Miss I meant 15 days not 13 days.," Alison works outside the CBD where the branch is. now the 15th day was fall on the 14th. Still nothing. She went into the branch on the 19 and was helped by a gentleman. He checked the system and said the money was paid. ALISON was asked to get bank statement to double check she hasn't received the money. Shr did, the gentleman at the branch called Old Mutual head office, head offices said there's 1 document not signed. Excuses and more delays. Alison was expected to sign and she did, told it will take 2 weeks maximum. Today 30 January 2026 is the end of the second week from the 2 weeks and still no money. Alison went to the branch again few minutes ago and the branch can't seem to trace the retirement funds on their system. R70k gone just like that. Knysna Branch Manager said she'll investigate but Alison has now been official placed on sick leave because she is not coping.
Marko online is so pathetic ,unprofessional and unreliable. I placed 2 different orders online on the 15th of October 2025. I was promised delivery 22 October 2025 for both orders. I had to take leave from work for the dates were very awkward for me. Marko staff **** or crested misleading sms for the 1 order to make it seem like it's on its way. Mbali Hadebe was booking delivery for it. She didn't bother to contact me. I had to request through the WhatsApp online channel for track number and the courier name. All to find out the parcel that the sms said the parcel was collected on the 20 October 2025, was never handed to the courier. It failed twice. I furiously informed the person who was chatting with me on the WhatsApp and they said they would forward me to someone who can help. Hours later Mbali Hadebe got the booking process right but didn't contact me to explain or apologize. And now they WhatsApp message me to expect delivery 27 October 2025 when I have to be at work. What ******* nonsense is that?! Second order showed no processing or whatsoever. I enquired about it and was told to wait another 1 to 2 business day for processing. I mean like what on earth is wrong with Makro Online ? Why am I running after them for updates and stuff ? Is it hard for them to communicate with clients accordingly. They might as well shut down the online services it's pathetic! Such an unpleasant experience always! My oth
I ordered a meal on the uber eats app on the 28th of May 2024 in the evening after I arrived from work. I had guest that flew in from CA. The food was suppose to be delivered at 7:45pm by Emanuel from uber. We waited and waited. We tried calling him when the app notified us that he is outside , he ignored calls and direct messages we sent. He went far as ignoring the securities at my estate and left with the food. He clicked or submitted in "food delivered." We went to the securities to check if he didn't leave he food but nothing. The securities showed us the footage of his arrival in him leaving. Point is I had to leave the house tired as I was and go to KFC Silverlakes Drive thru just to get a meal myself of what I wasn't in the mood to it. Worst experience ever, even their complaints feature on the app is absolutely pathetic! Money gone out of my account for food I never received!
It's been 4 full months since I've been waiting for my capital top up after I've received my equipment from Sefa. Also they took up to 8 months to process my application. A week ago I tried making contact with the Lady helping with my application but she never responded. I call no response and the most said part is This organization claims to want to help SMME's and still expect them to pay the loan agreement on time after they dragged their process. It's days before I have to start paying the loan and no one is able to assist me. They claimed to be investigating why they haven't toped me up with capital and now they went all silence and no where to be found. I want to keep the new staff members employed but I'm afraid it's time I let them go. Tge numbers of unemployment in South Africa rise daily because of organizations like Sefa for not being transparent with applications.
On the 17th of September An unauthorized deduction was made in my account. I went to report the matter within 30 minutes after the transaction went off. At the branch they offered me a new card which was more money out for me as each new card one pay for. The gentleman that was helping me at the branch called head office and reported the matter. They told him to tell me it will take up to 14 business days to get back my money. I waited and waited but no sms no email no call to alert me that they under investigation. I had to go back to the branch again and do a follow up on my case with the given reference number , out of my busy schedule I had no choice but to loose 2 hours of my day to sitting at the bank only to be told it’s still under investigation, they told me to wait 7 more days. The money they deducted or allowed to be taken from my account was meant for emergency things I had to pay for that day instead my life became more and more complicated, I had to borrow money hopping it will be back in my account within 14 days but that wasn’t the case instead it’s dead end after dead end. On face book I realized on the Capitec Bank page I’m not the only person who had this experience and others claim one never get the money back they will continue saying my case is under investigation until I give up. My fear is the 15th is approaching and I haven’t had enough money to go open a new bank account in a different bank because I’m in so much debts and I fear my allowance will disappear the minute it reflects on my account. Going to sleep at night with the fear of money disappearing in your bank account is the most traumatic stress disorder ever ! I thought Capitec Bank was the best but I was wrong ! Someone please help me I need my money back to I can move to a reliable safe bank
