ATTENTION/!!!! ///!!!!! FELLOW SOUTH AFRICANS. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS.... CLEARLY....! Mweb will never ever ever answer your call unless you phone the sales department and they want to sign you up. There service is horrible. They don't tell you anything on the phone. They don't tell you that the small price you paying is only for the first 6 months. They bill you for an amount that they never discussed with you. And listen again. You will never get hold of them. Please .. Guys. For your peace of mind. Don't ever sign up with mweb. They are very very incompetent and only want to make a sale. They don't care about the customer. They're deals are too good to be true. So please go somewhere else, pay extra and be happy. Hi. I'd like to mention about vw melrose incompetence. Being professional vw dealerships, they were really unprofessional in the way they dealt with us. They confirmed a car with us but when we wanted to pay for the car and Pick up the car they tried avoiding us. Eventually when we persisted they came with all types of excuses. They initially didn't want to show me the car. I persisted and went back the next day. They showed me the car but didn't start it. The excuse they gave me was that it has an engine problem. Everytime i asked to speak to the superior they got a guy from another department to come and he played along. This is totally un acceptable from such a big and 'reputable' dealership. I engen called vw complaints department south Africa and they also just didn't get back to me after a few calls. There was no initiative from any of them to make up or give some customer service back. I am disgusted at this type of service from vw.
I'd like to mention that thrifty Sandton has not returned my deposit after 17 days. To date I still haven't received my deposit. Every time I call they say that they offline. I am very disappointed with their service. Today I called and the gentleman said that he will call me back. Like any other time he didn't call me back. I hope that thrifty would call me and sort this issue out as they are very incompetent and I would not recommend anyone to them. I have checked my account and no money has been refunded.
