We have a fibre account with Vodacom for which we pay R899 p/m. Last week Wednesday our fibre was suspended without notice. When we called to find out what the reason was we were told our account is in arrears of R3000 and that was for unpaid amounts on other cellphone contracts. This was very strange cause we don't have a single Vodacom cellphone contract. When we went to the store to report it we were told that there were contracts taken in my partner's name and upgrades applied for without ID or FICA documents (shocking). Anyway, we were told we'd need to file an affidavit confirming this. We filed the affidavit and after days, the outstanding amounts on the accounts are R5000+. Nobody at Vodacom can assist us. Fibre refers us to customer care, customer care refers us to fibre, the store (Cresta Mall) doesn't seem to have loaded the affidavit onto the system and it's a whole disaster. In the meantime, we are without internet and can't work unless we buy extra data for our cellphones to hotspot. This is really poor service.
