Very poor service I have a Superflex month to month account which is deducted via debit order each month. Unfortunately the debit order was about in the middle of the month and I had missed a payment. So I reached out to MTN on their WhatsApp Chat. I was given bank details to make said missed payment. Due to the annoying time of the debit order I figured payment made on the date of, is the date which the debit order will be deducted, so I made payment the 31st of Aug this year. A day or so later I have no payment reflecting and, have spoken to a MTN consultant via WhatsApp and was told to wait a few days for the amount to reflect (I believe this was 2-3 business days). I eventually have to reach back out via WhatsApp and then reached a lady named Krishnaveni Kanniah. At first she made a lot of effort to help me resolve this matter. She gave me a call to get to the bottom of my concerns. It turns out the MTN agent namely Zelephi, whom I spoke with on the 13th of Aug originally asking for bank details had sent me the incorrect information. Krishnaveni had suggested I make payment to the correct account, and I can then request a refund of the money I have paid in the first place which should take about 5 business days. On the 4th of Sept this year I paid the amount once again (now being double the amount required). The payment reflected immediately and I thought surely things will only start looking up from now on. I was unfortunately wrong. To this day I have not received my refund and Krishnaveni has fallen off of the face of the earth. She comes back to respond to her emails when she feels like it as the last email she sent me with any almost helpful information was dated the 1st of Oct this year where she had said there is a ticket logged and she will be on leave till the 8th Oct, and will reach out once she is back. She has either not come back from leave or has again disappeared since I have not heard anything from her. I have reached out multiple times to resolve this matter and have reached a level of disbelief in MTN’s ability to provide services to customers.
Very poor communication and quality. They were almost always late. They were paid last year September and to date we have not had a very satisfactory result. We have multiple concerns and no response from Claude.
Dear readers, If you are thinking to apply for a cellphone contract and you find yourself on hello peter to see a few reviews I hope the following info helps I applied at Telkom a total of 3 times. I was approved according to the person that assisted me. My first application for a cellphone EVER was approved so obviously I was extremely happy. Only to find out that they didn't have stock but that wasn't going to get me down. This person then directed me to an Istore at Brooklyn which is approximately 40 minutes away from the store where I was. The person assured me there would be no issues once I get there. So off I went to an Istore. At the Istore I had to do the application from scratch which I obviously did and after about a week I found out that the paperwork never got sent through for the evaluation to be completed. Never the less long story short I wasn't approved. After giving it some time I went back to a Telkom store to re-apply for the same phone, same price and same package. I spoke to the person who assisted me this time around, the person said we can do the application but they will need to get the phone because they don't have the phone told me it could maybe arrive on Friday (basically a week later). This weekend my husband and I went to Telkom to find out if they had stock and we ended up speaking to the manager who assured me that they will find out about stock and then let me know. Today the manager admitted he could not find an order on the system.. after a week you'd think they would have a better answer than they will let me know. I don't expect VIP treatment but I do expect to receive the product Telkom claims to offer. 3 times applied, once rejected, twice approved and I still have no clue when I will get the phone or how they even advertise this phone if they can't get me one. This company requests my private information to evaluate my credibility yet when it comes to giving me the service/product they advertise and approved to give I'm left in the dark.
