I want to give this ZERO stars, MINUS 40 actually. These people are ******* and will rob you. Advertised as R295 callout, they came to open a safe, I asked for a ballpark figure which the lady said "it is all explained in the message". In the message it states the cost will be determined by time spent opening the safe, parts used, etc. I sent a photo of the safe and still didnt get any indication of a ballpark figure. They came and it was less than an hour spent opening the safe. I was informed they dont have the lock and will have to come back the next day to replace it. After the work was done I was told by the "technician" he has to wait for proof of payment first before he can leave. I received the invoice for R15000, YES FIFTEEN THOUSAND RAND. I asked him is this correct, and he said it is, I told them it is unacceptable and this is EXACTLY why I asked beforehand. I expected a MAXIMUM of R3000. But 15000 is an absolute *******. The final amount was 2000 discount, so R13000. I will definitely be seeing how I can go about taking this further, as I did ask beforehand and they would not give any figures or ballpark numbers on what it would cost. I sent a photo of the safe and they KNEW what safe they would be opening which they charge R10000 for (well apparently), 10k, yes, ten thousand rand. I will never recommend these people to anyone as they are dishonest and try to make a quick buck. I am also sure all the apparent "good reviews" are reviews done by themselves to make it look okay. Very very bad business people who ***** your money. I think they make their own prices up depending on the person they are "helping". Their website is also only 1 page trying to look professional, but everything just leads back to one page. You also talk to one person on WhatsApp, and she makes out as if it is a huge company, but in actual fact I think it is 2 or 3 people just trying to rob people. People who have zero qualifications, they just know how to use a drill.
If I could, I would give a negative rating to this company. The MOST USELESS company I have ever had to deal with, along with THE MOST USELESS people that work there. I have sent email after email, made phone call after phone call. I am STILL waiting for EVERY person I ever spoke to to call me back. MAYBE 1 out of every 20 emails I send I will get a response. At this stage I am waiting for a reply on an email I sent almost 2 months ago. FLAT IGNORE is what you get from these useless people. I would NEVER EVER recommend them to ANYONE. I have been trying now for more than 2 months to get my money back from these people. Noone can ever provide me with an answer or explanation as to why I havent been paid and everyone will always "call you back". NEVER in my life have I had to deal with such atrociously bad service. Actually the service is NON-existent, the end. Thieves, stealing money and then acting as if they don't know what you are talking about and talk in circles to try and make it sound like they dont owe money. For about 562 units of electricity left on my meter they refunded R50. From my outstanding payment that I had when we went over to prepaid I was in CREDIT of R1500 odd, that with my deposit added when we moved out would have brought the pay out to approx. R3000 with the credit and deposit, PLUS what I was to be refunded with the units remaining on the prepaid meter. I received around a R1150 payout from them. It makes me SICK that this place is still open and able to operate.
I recently wanted to exchange the Forex funds in my account which I receive every month as a salary from my company. On trying to complete the transaction I had a message that said I need to submit this to the bank for review, I have never had this issue before and decided to exchange the funds as I closely monitor the market to exchange at the best possible time. At the time of that the exchange rate was R18.85/$. Further emailing the bank the following day, seen as noone contacted me, they refused to take responsibility or accountability for this issue, offering me a rate considerably less than the initial rate. I had sent emails and asked them to escalate the matter to receive the rate I would initially have receive, to which the response was I had not been quoted a rate and therefore they refuse to provide me with the rate. After many emails of no joy I requested them to exchange at the rate which they quoted, again receiving an email telling me the markets are different and providing me with a further lesser rate than the second one. At this stage going from the original rate which I would have gotten to what I ACTUALLY received was a loss of 44c/$. This puts money out of my pocket and FNB downright refuses to care one little bit. FNB after sale customer service is almost non-existent and I have always struggled to get ANYTHING more out of them, they are more worried about themselves than the client. I will FOR SURE be shopping around and NO LONGER recommending FNB to ANYONE who asks me. FNB steals people's money and won't take responsibility for anything. The client is DEFINITELY NOT put first and their slogan of "How can we help you" is probably more fitting at "Where can we f*** you".
I have always been happy with Home-Connect, however, just recently I received an email that the monthly price is going up from R598 to R708. This is more than an 18% increase which I feel is absolutely ridiculous
