Having used Gido's services 4 times over the past 20 years at some of my properties for electric fencing and gate motors, I decided to use them again for my daughter's property. I contacted them during September and asked for Douglas, as he was the consultant on my last 2 properties. He immediately informed me that they would not be able to accommodate me during September as they were already in the process of getting ready to move to new premises towards the end of September. The soonest they could get to me was towards the end of the first week October. I was happy to proceed on that basis and placed an order for a new electric fence and gate motor. The end of September I was contacted and informed that Gido would not be able to accommodate me during the first week of October as the move had gone haywire due to circumstances beyond their control. A week later I got another call, another delay. This time industrial action. Long story short, the electric fence installation was eventually done the last week of October and the gate motor only Saturday. Fortunately for us, the installation was not a life or death situation. Owning my own business, I know full well how quickly things can spiral out of control. Will I recommend or use them again? In spite of the massive delay, absolutely! Have just mailed confirmation to replace a garage door motor. Not everyday you deal with a business that has been around for ± 25 years!
