Active since Dec 2019
Liberty Credit Solutions called me in October 2024, with an assurance to reduce the exorbitant interests on my debts. However, I have since learnt that not only did my debts pile up, some of the creditors have not been paid. Efforts to reach the company have been fruitless. I need help with cancelling my debt review status. They keep debiting my account despite my successive requests for cancellation.
I write to inform you about my frustration with Mtn. Thus far, I have a phone contract with Mtn, paying for 2 devices. The amount I am supposed to be debited monthly is at least R1760. However, for the past few months, Mtn has been debiting R2418,89. Upon inquiring, I was informed that there are extra charges such as insurance, VAT, minutes and data (in addition to the ones I pay for along with the devices). As a result, I called Mtn on the 26th of February and cancelled any and everything that was classified an additional charge to my contractual agreement with Mtn. I was supposed to be debited R1476,91 this month (March 2021), but Mtn debited R2418,89 again, even after that conversation about the cancellation. I am told they are still processing the cancellation. When I inquired again, I was referred to one of their departments, which was identified as 'Retention', but when I call the department, there is no answer. Needless to say, I am utterly disappointed with the manner in which Mtn handles our contractual agreement. I ask that I pay only what I should pay for at Mtn, and have all the other extra charges cancelled. I hope to hear from you soon.
I've sent two emails in the past 10 days for cancellation of my application for membership and I've not received a reply confirming the cancellation. Please assist.
