If you can in any way prevent it, never ever ever ever make use of Telkom fibre. I have ordered my fibre line more than a month ago. They say they have an estimated turnaround of 10 days, but obviously not. They first logged a total different physical address for me, which took numerous phone calls, e-mails and even sms's to correct. They then confirmed installation for Wednesday, but never pitched, then for Thursday, but did not pitch. Today is Friday and there is absolutely no communication from them, while I have to make arrangements every day to have someone at home for the installation. They own the lines in our estate so we are unfortunately forced to make use of them. Pathetic service, no communication, arrogant attitude and no response to queries.
This is not the first time I am getting poor service from them, but definitely the last as there are enough good service providers out there. On 19 July I contacted Elwierda Glass to replace a glass window on a sliding door. I asked them to come have a look at the specific glass as all the sliding glass doors in that room have a slight tint to it. They sent someone to come measure. He could see the tint, but said he has no knowledge of that - the office will have to advise. I phoned them on 20 July again. They had a quotation for me, but said nothing of the tint. I reminded them that it cannot be a normal glass. They then said they can come have a look, but there will be a call-out fee as they were already at my house. Unbelievable. I reminded them that I had specifically asked them to come have a look at the tint from the start, so I cannot pay a call-out fee if they sent the wrong person. They said they will come back to me. I spoke to them on 21 July again, and they said they will contact me soon. I have really given them the benefit of the doubt, but it is 28 July today, and they still have not contacted me, although my house is only 4 minutes from their store. For fast and professional service rather contact Centurion Auto Glass (they do house windows as well) or Glass Rite.
I bought a drone from Droneworld in Dec '19. The next day I experienced an issue with the gimbal. I took it back and they replaced the drone without any hassles. Ashley (not sure of his surname) assisted me, and I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. A drone is an expensive tool/toy and I would not buy it from anyone. I would, however, confidently recommend buying through Droneworld if you want peace of mind and good after-sales service.
