The battery in our car had gone dead. I called discovery insure and spoke to Sbu Kolondiya. He was very efficient and within 25 minutes of speaking to him a service provider had come out an fixed the car. He also followed up on the progress. The service provider Neo from gravity was also excellent
A big shout out to High Speed Gas and Paloma Geysers. Ryan and Jonathan provided excellent service and went out of their way to fix a problem I had with one of my Gas heaters.
They have always delivered my shopping on time and I have given them a few chances but will not use them again. Firstly they deduct the amount from your credit card immediately and then do the shop. With my last shop they debited my card for R500 and credited my account for R85.00 but the actual slip from woolworths was R261.00 (Inv. 306571). Even if you add on the R90 delivery and service fee, there is a shortfall to me. I reported this and sent the slips and original order but it has not been resolved. This has happened before and I think I was done out of about R200 but I was extremely busy and never got to report it. Surely they should only debit your credit card once they have completed the shop.
I was away in December and my house sitter called me on Sunday 29th to tell me there was no electricity. After trying certain things I called Elite. They were very efficient over the phone and came within 40 minutes, and specified because it was a Sunday I needed to pay for the work done immediately after it was fixed. After I had not heard from them for about 30 minutes of being at my house, I phoned my house sitter to check if they were still there. She said they had just left and that he said it was very expensive because he had to replace all the circuit breakers on the board due to a power surge. Harry then phoned me and said there was a power surge maybe caused by water in the wires and he had to replace most parts but our insurance will pay for it. He then sent me a bill for R11 047!! My husband phoned and queried it and he said it all had to be replaced and we must claim from our Insurance. He never phoned during the call out to at least to discuss the price before going ahead. Well insurance rejected the claim on the grounds that they don't pay for power surges. I then emailed the owner Dirk who basically rudely replied that they as a company cannot know what every insurance company covers or doesn't cover. We are insured with ABSA. Surely they are aware of what the big banks cover in their line of work.
