A company with no accountability and no professionalism. No use in contacting their HR department for assistance. I attempted to do so as one of their employees is a unpaying tenant in my property. I have lawful documentation to acquire the information I need. However seems like that values of the company runs straight through.
The positives: the house is cheap and built within a month. The negatives: the quote is so high level it basically says we'll build a house made of wood it'll have windows and doors for x amount. No breakdown of what the wood costs or what material the windows are, what toilet seats or basins and what the prices are of these items. Only after you've paid do they send you 1 partially correct image of the house. The rails of the cupboards are weak and breaks within the first 2 or so months. The plumber didn't connect a water pipe proparly in our wooden wall and caused quite significant damage, which took them at least a week and a half to come and fix, partially, then a month later to finish the repairs. The light switches had to be replaced within 3 months. The shower is the cheapest one they could find and started cracking. When I raised this I was ignored. The insolation is pathetic, and I read the ones they install is not SABS approved anymore since around lockdown. The toilet seats I had to replace at my own cost. I have to repaint the house within 3 months because the cladding shrunk and now the wood is visible. Finally the service you get after you've paid and they've left the premis is basically non-existent. Good luck if I could go back I would go another route.
I purchased a fridge on account at Makro. RCS is the financial service provider. I have been paying my account via the Makro Credit mobile app. Two months ago when I tried to pay my installment the app suddenly kicked me out and I when I tried logging in again it showed I have exceeded my max attempts. I know for a fact that I did not enter my pin wrong three times. Non the less I was locked out. When I try to reset my account I receive the error "We are unable to validate your information". Now the really bad parts starts. I called the number that is instructed to call at least 7 times. If your lucky enough to get through you are advised to email screenshot to contactus@rcsgroup.co.za with all your details to have your account reset. I have done that and followed up on that email with no success. All the time the keep on negatively affecting my credit score. I am at the point of going to a loan shark and borrow money from him just to pay off this account and never have to dealt with RCS again.
