ABSA Building Loan - Is it possible to give Zero stars in this instance? Does ABSA not have money? I seriously do not understand. Firstly, ABSA treats its Building Loans customers like Contractors on tendered works in the sense that one has to make sure they have capital beforehand to buy material and pay for labour before claiming. While other banks either pay for material/open an account with a reputable store for material. Secondly, the claiming process is a bit of a nightmare, the Contractor submitted their quote for material and labour, I claim according to work done (eg.R10 which was approved and R2 shortfall) but after a month of submitting and correcting one thing a day, the amount I claimed (which is according to the Contractors labour costs for works done) is cut in half by the valuator, then a shortfall is deducted making it less than R100k, then I’m told amounts lower than R100k cannot be paid (this is not in my contract/terms of service by the way), in a nutshell, I will not be getting paid for work done (mind you, the Contractor is already at the wall plate). I was sent an email stating that I have to service my loan (what loan ABSA?) Why did I get the Building Loan in the first place if the bank is NOT going to play its role of “lending” - loan? Another thing, if I qualify for R10 but I’ve requested R12, why does the bank give me the loan in the first place only to punish me for not having the R2? I did not mind this because I could fund the project, but we’ve been frustrated so much so that we’re losing money while waiting for a payment which will not even be made… Then ABSA says I should bank with them… I guess the ABSA Building Loans Department has made my decision for me in this regard. Frustrated.
Very disappointed in their service. Returned a phone in two days because it was not working, I requested that the contract be cancelled in store, they gave me a number to dial 081 180 Option 1 Option 1 Option 4 One holds for hours on end and when you finally get to the consultant, it beeps and automatically hangs up. I do not have the phone on me, haven’t had it since I returned it and now I’m expected to pay monthly instalments, this does not make any sense to me at all. The service is terrible… so awful, I would not advise anyone to get a contract from Telkom.
I am a new mom and I’m hurting, I am in pain and I am very disappointed. I used the Johnsons baby oil and the bedtime bath on my newborn and he got a terrible rash which spread like wildfire, my baby is suffering and it’s all because I trusted the brand (brand loyalty). I am sobbing as I’m typing this because I never thought using products by this trusted brand would result in my baby having to go to the emergency and later a paediatrician (he isn’t even two months yet), he is so tiny, he should not have to go through this. THESE PRODUCTS MUST BE REMOVED FROM SHELVES, THEY ARE VERY DANGEROUS!!! Only one use had the worst repercussion… PARENTS STAY AWAY FROM JOHNSONS PRODUCTS!!!

Opened the account to save money and only use for emergencies or when I really need the money. Tymebank allows me the opportunity to save this way (or so I thought). On the 12th March 2020, I sent money from my Tymebank account to my FNB account, I received an SMS and the following day the money was in my FNB account. On the 21st March 2020, I sent my FNB account a different amount of money, I did not receive an SMS and I am still waiting for the money. I have lost count of the amount of times I called Tymebank for them to fix this matter. Later I was told that Tymebank contacted FNB and FNB says I received the money. When I called FNB, they told me about the first amount I sent, I asked about the second amount they say it doesn't reflect on their side (it doesn't reflect in my account either). Clearly there's a miscommunication between the two banks but I'm left to suffer. They're neglecting the fact that it's lockdown and that I might really need my money. I sent emails to Tymebank and still have not received any feedback, I am afraid of sending myself money from my Tymebank account just now I'm told I received the money. I am really disappointed by the way things are being handled... It has not been a great experience (waiting since the 21st of March 2020 for my money, exactly 52 days ago)... The airtime I've used, being cut off because airtime ran out for being on hold for too long. Emails that do not get responded to.
iWyze is the worst. I should've checked the reviews here before becoming their customer. I contact Old Mutual, Old Mutual says they don't have a record of my life insurance (is iWyze not under the big umbrella called Old Mutual?). Every time I called they would say that I only have a unit trust... How because I'm paying every month for the life cover? That is the first unprofessional thing they did. I was told that I would receive an email confirming the agreement and contract, it's been 5 months and I still have not received an email from iWyze even after calling them countless times trying to figure out if they have the correct email address (they have my email address). The sales consultant I spoke to said that if I don't get the documentation, I have the right to my money because the contract is null and void. I requested the recording so that I have evidence, of course I did not receive that. Secondly, I received an SMS 1-2 months later stating that "In accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy, (the very same ones which I never read or received after requesting the sales consultant to send them to me) this could result in the termination of your policy and the loss of valuable benefits. I tested two days after speaking to the consultant. There are just too many companies involved here, and since I did not receive an email, I do not know what to make of it. Debit orders in my account Old Mutual (I'm guessing that's iWyze but like I said earlier, they're not 'the same thing') and M-sure. I reversed M-sure because I did not know who they were until I received an email (yep, it has to do with money and all of a sudden they can send emails). I send my requests to this email I received and once again I'm speaking to myself. The sales consultant I spoke to said if I don't get correspondence (especially the welcome package), I can request my money back. iWyze, M-sure whoever you are please send all my installments back, your issue is not with me, fix your house it's a mess. If you are looking for life insurance or anything that has to do with iWYZE, I would advice you not to even consider them. I worked well with Old Mutual (for years on end unit trust), I am shocked at the service I received (or did not receive) from iWyze.
