I held Alexandra Forbes in high esteem until the past month when I experienced the worst customer services , incompetence and unprofessionalism. I sent an inquiry and received feedback to send paperwork when I did, I was given a nonsensical reply from another consultant; saying I need to contact my previous employer's HR, I have not work for that employer in 5 years and the exit protocol required HR to complete the withdrawal notice which they did and I have confirmation of it - this reply was contradictory to the initial responses I received. The worst part is all communication was on the same email trail with the same reference number so the second person who rep**** to me did not even read and fami****ise her/himself with his/ her colleague's previous replies. IT IS GROSS INCOMPETENCE. They are unable to honour their promise to attend to queries in 48 hours and don't bother yourself with calling because their line is jammed most likely due to the high volume of frustrated clients. And if you follow the "call back" option , no one will within 24 hours as they promised.
My BRAND new car which was collected two days ago was scratched during tracker installation. When I say brand new car, I mean a 2026 car with 15km. I had warned the technician to be careful and he clearly didn't heed my warning.
I am writing this in complete frustration. Since submitting my provident fund withdrawal claim , I have spent hours and tonnes of airtime on calls with this company. Every time I call for feedback , the feedback given is completely different and inconsistent from what was previously said to me. It is difficult to even get through to a consultant , one is placed on hold for long. An option is given to have a consultant to return your call. I have selected this option many times , NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED ME BACK. I am at a loss on what to do and feel disheartened seeing that so many clients have had the same experience with this company. It is an extremely upsetting that our employers chose this company as the investment vehicle for our provident / pension funds. The level unprofessionalism and incompetence I have experienced makes me wonder if our money is safe with them. Something is going on at this fund . I have strong suspicions that the fund is insolvent and they purposely delaying payments.
