Ever since my complex installed this system it has been just a headache and frustration. To make matters worse our body corporate add trustees who implemented this whack system of smart meters with The meter shack are not hearing our grievances about how this system is a *******. Majority of us in the complex are experiencing the same issue, which is billing that’s extremely high and unexplainable deductions. I went from spending R800 a month in summer to almost R900 a week in a household of only 2. The electricity consumption is so high.. when you look at the billing statement you see these 3 high amounts that always deduct one after the other daily. They are always around the same amounts every day, you R12, R10 and R9 consecutively most of the times when those amounts are deducted, either we are sleeping or not even home. And you wonder, what would be consuming that much electricity while we sleep or not even home. We have complained and complained and asked for clarification regarding these weird amounts, but nothing. It’s infuriating because we cannot be paying so much for electricity in this already tough economy. I can’t even put up my geyser for too long anymore or even daily otherwise R200 will be gone in a day. It’s literally the worst electricity system ever I can’t express my hate for it enough 😫
Last month on the 21 Aug, I used PIick n Pay ASAP to buy urgent groceries for my elderly mom. I used her address to be delivered to her house. The driver who was sent to deliver the groceries got lost. When I had tracked her earlier driving to my mom’s address I realized she didn’t use the route that was on the gps track. She called and said she was lost, I assured her she’s on the right neighborhood, just on the wrong street. Instructed the driver to wait there my mom would come to the street she was on. But driver did not wait there instead left and went to another place. I texted her why she moved as I could still track her on the app. She then said she’ll log it in as delivered. I said why cause we don’t have delivery yet. After that she went silent I could no longer track her or get hold of her on the phone for over an hour I tried. I then called PNP customer care, explained everything, gave them details of the driver and requested a refund. They assured me the matter would be dealt with and I’d be refunded in 7-9 days. It’s been 2 weeks now. I’ve sent emails enquiring what’s happening, but no response. I’ve used ASAP before and I had no issues, this time has been hell. I ended up coughing up more money to buy the groceries I had ordered from pnp asap to be delivered to my mom, but never arrived. All I am asking for now is my refund please.
A parcel was sent to me by a friend from Pretoria on the 20/12.. to this day I still haven’t received it. It’s almost 2 weeks now. How can it take so long for a parcel to get to me from just here in Pretoria! I mean, I could’ve just driven and fetched it myself if I had known Aramex would be so s****py and take 2 weeks to get my parcel to me. This is absolutely ridiculous, it’s only 40min drive and it takes them 2 weeks to deliver to me. I’m so angry and disappointed. This is unacceptable and no response from them at all. I’ve sent emails, I tried calling. When I track my parcel it just seems to be floating in Joburg. For what!!! Can I just get my parcel already. Tracking said it’s been sitting in sandton, then on Monday it showed it’s now in transit. In transit for 2 days, from sandton to the south. It’s taking days. Wow. Never again will I use Aramex. It was good before, but this December it let so many of us down. Worst part is we are being ignored with out complains. No one cares!
I see I’m not the only one having debit order problems with this incompetent company. I have a contract with them which I have been paying without any problems. Late last year I sent an email informing them that I have a new bank account which I’d for them to now debit from and cancel the other debit order from my old bank account. That didn’t happen. I then sent more emails information them of this and including my new banking details where they can debit. I was ignored continued to debit from my old account which didn’t have funds so the debits obviously failed causing me charges on my account for these unpaid debits!! An agent called me to ask why I’m not paying, told him I sent email to tell you I changed accounts, said they didn’t receive it. Ok following month same story, debited from old bank account. I sent another email. But that didn’t help of course, cause they don’t care. I have spoken to about 4 agents telling them to cancel old account use new one. Gave them new account details but noooo they just ignore me continue to go look for money where there is non. I’m fed up and angry. They then call me to tell me I’m behind on payments.. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM! I’m behind, they caused that by continuing to debit from an account I told them not to use anymore. That account I just put small amounts on it just for my child to use. Now I can’t even do that cause whatever little money I put in that account is used up by charges for those ****** unpaid debits from OnAirTv. I hate this company for their incompetence and not caring about their customers. I warn anyone thinking of getting a contract with them not to. You’ll regret it, like I do. They will continue not to get their money cause they don’t want to debit from an account that has money. They causing arrears for me and I will not pay for something that isn’t my fault. They can deal with it! I’m mad as hell
People warned me about opening an account wity truworths, but because I had never experienced any bad treatment from them I thought people were just talking nonsense. I’ve had an account with truworths for some years and I had not missed a single payment. Until covid-19 and the lockdown forced me to not have an income. I actually sent them few emails as soon as we had the lockdown asking for assistance and asking if they’ve made any arrangements for their loyal close like other business have, but i got no response. Until month end came and was no payment made, then they were very quick to call and ask why I haven’t paid. I explained to the guy that look i own a salon and right now I cannot work and have no income. But I’ll try to make some payment towards the account. And i did. Ohhh that wasn’t enough for them. I have been harassed on a daily basis more than 5 times a day of calls. Despite having to take little money i have and trying to at least pay something. While the whole country has come together and trying the help everyone to just make ends meet. Truworths doesn’t give a damn if you starving, they just want money. They don’t care about their customers. Other businesses have gone above and beyond to help their clients in this very very difficult time. Every waking day it’s hard to wake up wondering where you going to get food. Ontop of that stress you get countless calls harassing you with something you’ve already explained and trying your best to sort out. I MADE AN EFFORT TO PAY SOMETHING. Why is that not good enough, after so many years of paying my installments without fail and i get treated like this over a situation I have no control over. The whole conversation is suffering, why can’t truworths sympathize with people. That is so cruel. Once i get my finances back in track I’m paying off this account and closing my account with this evil unsympathetic company.
