Active since Jun 2020
In October 2020 I had work done on my car (2007 Nissan Pathfinder) at Techead (Pty) Ltd in Lyttelton Centurion. Collected car on the 25th of November 2020, 26 November car overheated +- 13 hours after I got it back from Techead (Pty) Ltd. The reason for overheating was a broken radiator pipe due to mechanic negligence. R32,552.54 spent at Techead R9000 on legal fees, Sent a letter of demand, Rudi chose to ignore all communication from our lawyers R5500 on Engineering Report and Nissan Specialist Report. "Reports state that overheating was caused by a broken radiator pipe and the excessive damage to the engine was caused by the driving of techead owner while the radiator pipe was broken." Damages to my car are R73,312.08 We have reported Rudi to MIOSA - Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa, they have tried to get him to respond to their requests but this was ignored. They responded to me "After a number of attempts to acquire a response from the supplier have failed, we conclude that there is no reasonable probability of the parties resolving their dispute through the process of conciliation and the MIOSA therefore hereby terminates the process. The complainant may now proceed to approach the National Consumer Commission to exercise his/her rights in terms of the Section 71 of the CPA." I have all the invoices, quotes and reports for anyone to view. Please contact me on jpdebeer@outlook.com
