Old Mutual should rather not insure vehicles and Lady drivers as they rejected a claim where they say the lady was speeding.... she got a call from a friend 11;45pm on a Friday evening that her friend was involved in an accident. Thinking she is doing good and jumped into her brand new BMW X6 diesel to help her friend, (15 minutes before curfew) a driver with stolen Audi skipped the robot at Van Eke and Circular Drive and the brand new X5 was wriiten off with the accident, She stated on the claim report that she was doing between 80 and 90kph, but was not actually sure as no one will look at their speed first and then decide to make an accident???? After she agreed with getting the diagnostics of the vehicle the investigators came back with a speed of 116kph. How they got to this conclusion is still not clear and how accurate this is she is investigating at the moment. In the above light she never lied or misrepresented her claim to the insurance. She pays more than R50 000 per month on insurance and this was her first car accident, It seems like a person is paying Old Mutual a premium without them having ANY BACK BONE in treating their clients with the most disrespect full way a person can think of. She is paying R30 000 a month installment on this vehicle that is worth nothing to her at all. Please make sure before choosing Old Mutual as your short term insurer. (By the way the Lady is 44 Years of age and was still getting used to her new vehicle.)
Never use Old Mutual Insurance as they are bunch of crooks trying to not pay out claims, where my wife was in an accident with a brand new x6 with 200km on the clock and was wriiten off. The driver that jumped the robot was in a stolen vehicle. Our claim they don’t want to pay out because of speed she was doing….. she was on her way to help a friend that was in a car accident.
Thanks to Jason and Devan for their superbe service! Best in SA!
