I have been very disappointed. We booked the accommodation through bookings.com and could not cancel the accommodation because of the discounted fee of one thousand rands per day for two people. First, there was no parking for the rental car we had to park in a parking garage and pay extra for 5 days. Our room was connected to the other room by a partitioning board. You could hear everything, and we had people drinking and were very loud next to us. We asked that they talk to them, but it did not happen. We also return one day where the room was not cleaned and no toilet paper in the bathroom. The lady asked before nine if she can come in, we said in 15 minutes but obviously not. I will not book through bookings.com again. the pictures and what we got was definitely not how it was and the discount is not worth it with all the other expenses you have make.
We bought an Electrolux at Game Menlyn. We took it back indicating that the hole is too small to get the pet hair out is too small. The only way to get it out if you open the bag meaning to break the bag open. The game said they had to send it back to Electrolux. After two months of enquiring several times the feedback, we received that we have to contact head office an order a new bag. To me, the wrong vacuum cleaner was sold in the first place and the problem is not solved.
I have booked through Hotels.com for accommodation in a hotel at the Waterfront in Cape Town. We would have had an International Conference in September 2020. Due to COVID-19, the Conference has been postponed to next year. If I phone the Hotel their response is that I must contact Hotels.com. Their response is that my booking is not refundable and I cannot change the date. I feel that this is extenuating circumstances and could not be predicted.
