My case has been with Sonya Marais for well over 18 months with no progress. The service is shocking! One wonders if individuals at the NFOS office work hand in hand with insurers.

My case has been in 'review' with the Ombudsman ( Sonya De Jager and Marsha Williams) for over a year. The feedback received from the Ombudsman : "we will provide you with feedback as soon as we are able to do so", this has been going on for over a year. PPS continues to debit my account monthly during this extended period of 'review'. One wonders if the Ombudsman and PPS are working together? Is there monetary gain on either side or both sides , with clients still being debited for premiums during the extended review process . Why aren't premiums stopped during the review process and resumed once an outcome has been reached? PPS is making tons of money during these review periods as most professional cancel their policies once an outcome is reached.
<div>Newly qualified professionals should definitely stay away. I have been a loyal client of PPS since I qualified , over 18 years ago! Submitted my first claim 2 years ago and have been given the run around for over 2 years, while still paying my premiums! Yes they constantly change the goalposts. This company will use every tactic at their disposal to not pay out valid claims. I have reached out to a number of medical professionals who have similar stories to share, who have also lodged their complaints against PPS to the Ombudsman. PPS never seems to pay out valid disability claims. PPS ticks the following boxes in my opinion: unprofessional , ****** , uncompassionate .
