Don’t allow them to make you join insurance via them,they lie to you and say they’ll cover your excess in the event of a claim only to find out it’s all lies!!!!Theyre just making you pay extra on your insurance so they can chow your money… they made me join via miway and them and miway I was told should I get a car accident or so my excess fee will be covered by them. Lies lies lies!
Reported my geyser yesterday that it burst,was sent an assessor and he fixed it same time. Keep it up
Been a customer for years since 2021 with my vehicle ,and this year I expanded my insurance to insuring our cellphones. When I insured the phones for me and my husband we were not asked any information about them and our policy is a one page vague paper. When it’s time to claim they want a lot of things that we were not made aware of from the initial day we insured our items. In my mind I think they do that so they don’t pay out a claim,you know how when u join car insurance they tell you the do’s and don’t’s of the insured car…with home contents insurance they don’t do that so when it’s time for a claim they can look for ways not to pay out a claim. They recently ****** us those cellphones and OUTsurance goes out and about to ensure they don’t pay out a claim. Firstly they asked us for 3 things for the claim,saps number,itc numbers and proof of purchase. We provided them as that’s standard procedure for any normal insurance. then they ask for further things to “validate” the claim as they say it. Our phones are in contract with MTN they went to MTN to request our data(first and last usage) on the phones and MTN couldn’t find “anything”…how’s that possible cause the phones were bought directly with them… OUTsurance asked us for further “validation “ to invade our privacy as I feel,they asked for iCloud’s of the phones…who’s ever done that?iclouds are confidential and I told them I can’t provide them with such as I feel it’s invasion of privacy. The assessor then told me they can’t authorise the claim as nothing was found on the incident. So if you’re thinking of insuring your personal items like phones or home contents with them,think twice. Now I’m awaiting confirmation for my claim to be rejected and then I’m moving insurances. I trusted them and never thought they would do their best not to pay a claim!
Everything is all good until it’s time to claim. They’ll make sure they appoint an assessor who will do what they can to ensure your claim doesn’t go through. My husband and I were ****** off phones and we claimed,they appointed an assessor by the name of Kimmie Brett whom I feel he’s already made up his conclusion about this whole incident. we’re asked a lot of questions that I feel they should’ve told us to keep a record of those things on the day we joined the insurance to make the claiming process much easier and stress free or atleast make us aware what should happen in the event of a claim like they do with cars.When they make you join it’s easy as abc,we weren’t even asked much about the devices(just their names and how much they’re worth)and when it’s time to pay out a claim we’re asked about our iCloud’s on the phones(to me that’s a personal question and has nothing to do with them but I didn’t mind anyway),we’re told MTN has to confirm the last usage(that’s fine but apparently MTN is taking their precious time and now we have to go according to that waiting frame). We were told IT guys will confirm everything about what happend to our phones(in terms of of iCloud) but all of a sudden the IT guys can’t be appointed anymore because they cost money…why did you even bring them into the picture then???then were told they have to go through our wifi at home to check which devices were connected to it…haibo how do I even check that and how am i supposed to know and check all of this?im not an IT specialist…all this just because we claim for iPhones …I really wonder if this is the claiming process-because the policy i received didn’t explain any of this process taking place-or if we’re just being scrutinised to ensure they end up not paying out for our phones..this incident was reported on the 27th of May and upto now there’s no progress and it’s frustrating honestly. When we insure our items we want peace of mind should anything happen and not this pathetic service we’re receiving from OUTsurance. iv been insured with other cellphone insurance companies before but never went through so much hassle For a claim.
Do not take a contract with MTN. I’m 4 months into my contract and they took extra money as part of my debit order. I called and asked what’s the reason and they said the extra money is for insurance ,I never took insurance with mtn cause of their bad reviews…I have my own insurance under my vehicle. Upto today they still say I owe them that time I pay much earlier every month and I’m not in arrears…I regret taking a contract with them🚮
Doctor is not so friendly,goes through everything as fast as she can like she's trying to get rid of you yet you're charged a lot of money for the consultation fee that is apparently not covered by medical aid. Doesn't matter which medical aid you're on for consultation she charges R1800 that must be paid in cash. Doctors are the friendliest except her and I wonder If she's like this with everyone
