Buying and selling investments is easy. However accessing the funds once they are sold is extremely difficult and slow. Having a bank account verified in order to receive the proceeds of shares sold is almost impossible. Bank account statements and bank reference letters have been submitted five times over the past weeks, only to be asked to resubmit. Their support staff are poorly trained and demonstrate poor security protocols. Response to support tickets is very slow Multiple emails addressed to the customer support manager Jessica Maluleke remain unanswered. It is extremely frustrating trying to deal with Easy Equities. Best advice is stay away from them.
Outsurance Pet medical insurance is excellent. I've had 2 claims in the last 6 months and their service has been excellent and payment prompt. The claims process is quick and efficient.
Flexicare has to be the worst company that I have ever dealt with. The customer reviews prove my point: 286 one-star ratings, versus 28 four and five-star ratings. This company should not be allowed to trade! It took over 40 emails, calls, and WhatsApp chats over two months to get them to pay legitimate pharmacy claims. Payment was only received after referring the matter to the Ombudsman. Suspecting that it will be a nightmare to cancel the policy, I opened a dedicated bank account for the collection of the monthly premiums. It would then be easy to stop the monthly debit orders after cancelling the policy by simply closing the bank account. Alas, the change of banking details sent on 3 April, along with all the required documents and forms, was not actioned, despite receiving acknowledgement of receipt. The debit to the old account was processed again on 2 May. Not only are they *********** at processing claims, their accounts department is just as bad. Stay away from Flexicare!
Despite multiple emails and calls to Hippo Advisory Services and Discovery, my legitimate Flexicare claims—dating back to 17 January—remain unprocessed. Flexicare, owned by Hippo and administered by Discovery, seems to have a dysfunctional claims processing system. Hippo has now stopped returning my calls and emails, and there is no sign of accountability from their management team. It appears they lack the resources or willingness to resolve these ongoing issues. Now begins the frustrating process of cancelling the policy and stopping the debits. If you are considering Flexicare, I strongly advise caution. Have you had similar experiences? Let’s hold them accountable!
The saga continues. Discovery Flexicare has again demonstrated their incompetence in processing claims and providing customer service. The legitimate claim submitted on 23 January was processed for the first time yesterday. Unfortunately their claims department seem unable to read a perfectly legible invoice from Clicks Pharmacy. They were unable to identify the NAPPI and ICD-10 codes that were clear and legible on the submitted invoice. The matter was escalated to Discovery and Hippo management last week, but no response has been forthcoming. Don't waste your money paying monthly premiums to this company. They are simply unable to process electronic or paper claims correctly.
This is an update on my previous of Flexicare review, posted last week. Discovery Flexicare remains a dysfunctional entity. Despite assurances of feedback and escalation for prompt resolution, the legitimate claim for an approved PMB condition, submitted on 23 Jan 2025 has still not been loaded for processing! This despite numerous calls, emails and WhatsApp messages over the last 3 weeks. No-one can provide a reason why their claims department has failed to process the claim. It appears that Discovery Flexicare simply lack the System and Human Resources needed to process electronic and paper claims. It is unfortunate that Flexicare is dragging the good reputation of Discovery and Hippo into disrepute.
Discovery Flexicare falls well short of standards set by Discovery proper. Their IT systems are not ready for commercial trading. They are unable to process electronic claims submitted by a leading pharmacy chain and leading pathology service providers. Their Call Centre staff lack training and are unable to resolve simple queries. Their standard response is “this will be escalated and I’ll call you back tomorrow” Of course no-one calls back. A paper claim submitted on 23 Jan has still not been loaded for processing, despite almost daily calls and emails querying the delay. I today lodged a complaint with the Ombudsman as they are denying their legal obligation to provide benefits for the treatment of a PMB condition. It is extremely frustrating dealing with this dis functional and unprofessional company.
Thank you to Jarryd Reddy for the quick and professional service in settling my Pet insurance claim this week. It took less than 3 days for the money to appear in my bank account! I have no hesitation in recommending OUTsurance for your Pet Health insurance needs.
Thank you to Karlien for the highly professional and competent assistance with our UK Ancestry Visa application. I was blown away by how quickly you responded to the numerous questions that were sent to you by email - many within minutes, others never more than 1 hour! Your efficiency resulted in the application being processed and approved within 6 working days.
Expedited visa **** by iVisa The iVisa service offering to have your visa issued within 4 hours or 1 hour for a higher service fee is a ****. By their own admission, iVisa have no influence over the visa processing time by the visa issuing authority. It is in fact quicker to submit the application on the government website yourself. This is because it takes a few hours for iVisa to submit the application on your behalf. Use them if your visa application is not urgent, but don’t be fooled into paying higher service fees for an expedited visa application. iVisa use the same website to submit visa applications that individual travellers use. When I queried their failure to meet the timeline that I paid for, the following reply was received. “ Please note that the issuance of travel documents by government agencies depends on their procedures and deadlines, which we are unable to control.” Date of experience: 03 January 2025
