Today was the umpteenth time I have tried to pay for a Dis-Chem online order using my Discovery Miles, only to have the order "disappear" and not appear on my list of orders. When I phone the online team at Dis-Chem they tell me the order is PENDING because they have not received payment. However the Discovery Miles have already been deducted from my Discovery miles account. Dis-Chem says the only solution is for them to cancel my order and I must try again. My order history is riddled with a list of cancelled orders because of this same exact problem. The big annoyance is the onus is then ON ME to phone Discovery Bank and explain everthing and try and get them to give me back my Discovery Miles. SUCH a pain in the ass. So be warned! The interface from Dis-Chem online to Discovery Miles is buggy at best and does not work at all at worst. DON'T use it!
I attended an appointment with my close friend on the 28th April to assist him in his consultation with Dr Fuller. Dr Fuller promised to send a prescription for the necessary medication that same evening. He also stated he would be referring my friend to a Cognitive Behavioural The******, as well as an Occupational The******. To date, 3 weeks later and despite paying a HEFTY R3695 out of his own small pensioners' salary, he has not received a prescription nor any referrals from Dr Fuller. My friend has called repeatedly, and Dr Fuller's secretary Jane informed him that she has asked Dr Fuller to call back ,attend to the matter, and even put my friend's file on Dr Fuller's desk, but to no avail. All have been flat ignored. My friend was lectured intensely by Dr Fuller for not being a Christian and he further joked that he cannot treat non believers. We both found this unbelievably patronising, nonimpartial, and highly unprofessional. Perhaps Dr Fuller was not joking after all and that is why he has refused to help my friend despite being paid his large consultation fee for his services!
The length of time we have to wait for "one of (your) skilled consultants" to answer the telephone is absolutely ridiculous. Discovery literally eats up SO many minutes of my airtime every time i have to phone either Discovery Health OR Discovery Insure and wait and wait and wait and wait for them to answer the phone. It is disgraceful how much money they cost their clients on telephone calls
MTN did a 24 month contract renewal on my MTNChoice 2GB data plan in March. I have been unable to use the SIM Card/USB ****le ever since and NO ONE can fix the problem. Yet MTN happily debits my bank account every month for the contract fee. They cannot even process a SIM swap for me because someone loaded DUAL CALL on my account with some MTN Cell phone number that I do not know and did not request, and this blocks them doing the sim swap. I cannot cancel the contract without almost 2 years of penalties - I have tried. So I am stuck paying for a contract for a device I cannot use. I have spent over 10 hours on phone calls to MTN being passed from operator to operator - from dept to dept and NO ONE knows what they are doing or how to resolve it. I have visited 2 MTN stores as well and still no resolution. It is actually such pathetic service, I cannot even believe it is possible to get worse.
