I took my daughter to Dr. Seeraj for a consultation on Wednesday and paid cash upfront, as she does not work with my medical aid. The consultation went well at first — she revisited my daughter’s asthma, which she had diagnosed and treated about 10 years ago, and I even commended her on how well my daughter’s asthma had been managed since then. Dr. Seeraj prescribed medication to treat the current issue and suggested blood work to identify the underlying cause. However, at no point during the consultation did she mention that the blood work was mandatory or that results were required before any script would be issued. When I asked about collecting the prescription, I was told it would be sent via WhatsApp. The following day, I requested the script and was met with a series of confusing and contradictory responses. Dr. Seeraj claimed she had said blood tests were necessary before prescribing, which was never communicated. She then stated that my daughter needed to be seen by a GP for an asthma assessment before her dosage could be changed — despite having already discussed and confirmed this adjustment during our consultation. The situation became increasingly frustrating, as I was left feeling that the consultation (for which full payment was made upfront) resulted in no treatment or usable outcome. When I tried to address these inconsistencies, I was blocked from further communication. In my experience, the service lacked transparency, professionalism, and basic follow-through. I would strongly caution anyone considering this practice to ensure they receive clear information about costs, treatment steps, and any follow-up requirements before making payment.
The most incompetent people I have dealt with in my life! Messed up my debit order from the very first month, I have called and sent emails to have the matter resolved, I was assured that it was - only to find the same problem at the end of the month when they debit my account again. I then opted to cancel my services - requested an immediate cancellation about four times, gave a written cancellation and spoke to 3 of their highly incompetent and rude agents who again assured me that my services with them have been cancelled and to date I AM STILL BEING DEBITED and charged a debit order reversal fee every month because of this pathetic company where absolutely nobody will take accountability or the initiative to try and assist their clients.
I have had my order delivered late from this store on 5 separate occasions...the one time my order was late and messed up, I logged a complaint online, customer services first contacted me and then the store manager called offering me a complimentary duplicate order, when I advised that I don't have a vehicle to fetch it, she asked if I could place an order via MrD, provide her with the order number and she will ensure the complimentary order was included...however that never happened and she never answered my calls or responded to my text to date. The last incident occurred about 3 weeks ago, I ordered dinner for my family and after an hour I started receiving calls from the company the store uses for their online deliveries, first 2 calls was to confirm the delivery add and apologise for their driver being late, the 3rd and 4th was to apologise again but this time tell me that their driver is lost but they are unable to get ahold of him as his mobile is switched off, 5th call was to tell me they are trying to get another driver to get to the unreachable driver, pick my order up from him and then have it delivered and the last call was to say my order will not be delivered as no drivers are available and my money will be refunded...this was now 3 hours later making it impossible for me to order anything else for my family's dinner. I have to date not recieved my refund, I have spent more money on the calls made to customer services than the cost of my order, went as far as speaking to a manager and still have not recieved my money. This type of service is just appalling and absolutely not fair.
I am a tenant at Saffron Gardens since June 2020, prior to moving into this complex I have rented 2 other units that did not have prepaid utility services and in comparison I can personally say that Protea Metering and their whole energy saving concept is utter bull****, I am paying triple the amount I used to pay for my water account and yes, I do get the whole water heating system charges but I don't see the point of going this route when in actual fasts .... it is only costing residents way more than we would pay using the normal Eskom services. I have contacted Protea metering when I got my first bill at the end of June, after making several 20min+ calls and been promised feedback, to date I am still sitting with an unresolved issue - WHY AM I BEING CHARGED SUCH RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS FOR WATER? - Their staff are absolutely rude and have no idea what customer service is. Residents are just being told to monitor their meters if we have a problem with our billing and should the reading be incorrect then they will look into the matter - WHILST THE NUMBERS REFLECTING ON THE METRE MIGHT TIE UP WITH THE READINGS STIPULATED ON OUR INVOICES - OUR ISSUE IS THAT THE CONSUMPTION REFLECTING ON THE METER IS NOT CORRECT...HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A HOUSEHOLD TO USE 500L OF WATER IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD? THERE IS NO FLAWLESS SYSTEM AND I THINK THE METERS INSTALLED BY PROTEA METERING IS DRASTICALLY FLAWED TO THEIR FAVOR!!! I will never rent a unit using this system again and certainly will not recommend their services to anyone.
