So after multiple successful deductions for my scratch and rim cover I claim, then they say they logged a claim with a service provider for a week now. No one has called me, and eveytime I follow up they say they will "escalate". I am really unimpressed with their service.
The Psychiatrists/doctors sent me for an MRI and CT scan shortly after I was admitted, I went for the scans the same week and I stayed the full 21 days without them giving me my results. I am getting anxiety because they are not giving me my feedback. I have called, whatsapped and even emailed the doctor and secretary. I have even gone there physically weeks after I have been discharged and I was told that I would be sent my results. I have yet received my results.
I have had staff medical aid with Old Mutual for about 4 year, paying R2300. Today I called in for authorization to go see a doctor. They did security check questions and I passed all except for cell number registered as I registered it 4 years ago. They say they won't help me because I don't know a cell phone number from 4 years back yet they are still benefiting from my hard earned money. I'm disgusted.
I have a home and content insurance with BetterSure which is under written by Old Mutual Insure. I submitted a claim for theft and damage on the 1st of January 2022 as my house got broken into and even plumbing and electrical cables were stolen. Now when I call them they send me from one department to the other and later the call gets cut saying the number is unavailable. It has been 40 days now since I claimed and I have not gotten payout yet. They saying the claim is valid but the underwriter (Old Mutual) is holding on to the claim and not approving payout. I am left without electricity, water and home content (including clothes) for 40 days now. 😢

I was sold phone insurance by Huawei and the agent told me about an additional insurance that will allow me to get other non-phone related perks. Only to find out that they are using my banking details to pay for someone else's funeral cover at a company called Viva funeral. I requested for a recording of the phone call and they refuse to send it to me.
